Hiiiii people! I re-discovered that pic of Harry with that doggo and felt like writing something bout it. though, I am not entirely happy, it's just some boyfriend!harry Drabble-thing. I hope you forgive me and enjoy it anyways:) Nica
"Harry! Harry come here please..." I called out, almost immediately hearing the shuffling of his feet on the floor. "What's it sweetheart?" he asked, blinking tiredly at my, in blanket snuggled, frame. "Look at that." I said with an innocent smile and turned my phone for him to see the picture I had displayed on it. He immediately groaned. "Not another dog..." I pouted at him, flipping my phone back. On the screen was a picture of a wonderful, brown-golden and white dog with fluffy. It had a large, bear-like head with triangular ears and so-called Urajio markings (I had informed myself) wich was basically white marks at sides of the muzzle, on the cheeks, on the underside of jaw and neck, all over the chest, body and tail and on the inside of the legs. "Oh come on now Harry! It's a sweetheart! At least let me properly show you!" I complained whiny and he shook his head. "Will you ever once shut up about having a dog?" he sighed, sitting down next to me. "I will never. Not until we finally get one." A small grin stole itself on my lips when I started to go through all the pictures I had saved on my phone. "This is an Akita Inu, a dog breed originating from the regions of northern Japan. Akita's are known for its loyal, powerful, independent character that is very affectionate with family members. And if well trained, also with strangers, though, they can act a little aloof with them." I started my lesion and Harry visibly supressed a sigh. "You probably know them because of Hachikō..." I suggested, trying to spark his interest just somehow. "Yeah I heard about that." He answered, staring at the picture with a soft frown. "It's cute right?" to my great surprise he nodded, reluctantly, but he nodded. "Yeah they look quite fluffy. I nodded quickly, eyeing the picture of the dog lovingly. "Don't look at it like this!" Harry snorted and I rose my eyebrows. "Like what?" "Like it's your unbought child or something." I giggled softly, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "But is is, Harry. It is!" he just shook his head and got up slowly. "You are nuts babe." I pouted again, staring up at him. "Am not. I just really want a dog." He sighed and ran his fingers through his curls – he really should consider to trim it if he didn't want to go back to his 1D hair – before giving me a kiss on the forehead. "You know why I don't want to have one." I snorted, crossing my arms over my chest. "No. Recall please." I know I was acting stubborn right now and just on the verge of childish, but my urge to adopt a dog of such fluffiness was too strong to act right on it. "We don't have a stable schedule. I read that dogs behave best when they are on a consistent schedule. They like to be walked and fed around the same time every day. This is how trust is built between a dog and its owner. My schedule is constantly changing, I don't have a consistent routine. You know that." I huffed again, shaking my head. "I know you don't Harry. But I do. I go to work at the same time, same place same everything every day!" Harry sighed again, a thing that he had started to do often since that dog discussion came up. "Babe..." he mumbled, his shoulders dropping slightly. "I don't want to fight about this. Please?" I did either, fighting was actually the last thing I wanted to do today or ever. I got up and wrapped my arms around his broad chest. "I don't want to fight with you Harry. It's just that I would like to have someone when you are gone on tour, or writing all day...it's hard to be alone that often, you know? And I am not saying that a dog could make up for your absence, but it would help." A guilty expression had settled on Harry's face in form of a deep frown and a crease between his brows. I quickly pecked his cheek. "Sorry. I didn't wanted to make you feel bad for doing a brilliant job in the music industry." I quickly tried to lighten the mood again. Harry sighed (again) and hugged me a little bit tighter. "I haven't thought about that." He confessed honestly, but I just shrugged it off. "It's alright."
Harry and I had not talked about dogs after that one, soft discussion that we had in our Livingroom. That hadn't stopped me from doing research on Akita Inu's however, but I kept my knowledge to myself instead of talking all day about it. But I had caught Harry behaving odd. My theory was, that he was secretly doing research on dog's but wouldn't tell me. My theory got confirmed when I came home, a week after our last dog-talk and caught Harry reading. Reading in a book called " Everything about the Akita Inu" by Kerstin Mildner. As I entered the living room, Harry just quickly looked up before going back to reading. He acted like it was nothing extraordinary about him reading a book about Akita Inu's at all. An amused smile set on my face when I wordlessly curled myself against his arm, right next to him on the couch. "How was your day?" he asked casually, not once looking at me. "Oh very well. Yours?" I replied, my voice layered thickly with amusement. "Oh, good as well." He just answered, before stealing a quick glance at me. "I just read that those dogs...uh, you know those Japanese ones, they are quite dominant over other dogs, and for this reason, are not generally well-suited for off-leash dog parks. Unless highly socialized, of course. Which would be practical because...then we wouldn't have to go to those people filled dog parks..." my grin deepened with his every word. "Yes, I read that too. Nice book you have here, by the way." His lips curled up slightly when he threw me a sly glance. "Right? Just came in the mail today." I hummed amused, resting my head on his shoulders again. "Good stuff in it?" I asked smiling when he still wouldn't say something about this whole situation. "Yeah, quite informative I'd say." I laughed and nudged his side. "You are such an idiot Harry." He chuckled softly, his eyes glued on the pages of his new book. "Sometimes spontaneous, it needs a confident, consistent handler." He read out loud, avoiding my statement not so subtle. "And you're a confident handler?" he nodded quickly. "Very confident. Not consistent though." I shrugged. "Doesn't matter, that can be my job. Because I am confident as well, you know. But I must admit, I wouldn't have the balls to reject my boyfriends idea for so long and then placing my blunt ass with an Akita Inu book on the couch suddenly." His lips turned up some more, "oh not to forget, acting like nothing would be fishy about it!" Harry crackled up and finally turned towards me. "What do you want me to say sweetheart!" I shrugged, mirroring his smirk. "Maybe admit that you are an arrogant son of a bitch who can't admit when he's wrong?!" He chuckled. "Fine! I am everything you just said and also, admittedly, pretty much in love with those bloody dogs. I snorted amused, pressing a kiss on his lips. "So when do we get the dog?" I asked after a silent minute of both of us smiling like morons. "Kiyomi! Come here!" I called out and immediately heard the scrapping of little paws over the wooden floor. A desert coloured fluffball slithered around the corner and speeded over-excitedly on my lap. As always, a smile immediately spread on my lips at her sight and I buried my face in her fluffy fur. "How's it going, little one?" she liked over my cheek as an answer and I squeaked, softly pushing her away. She grew in those three months of Harry being away for tour, now about twenty inches high. She still looked like a little pup though, just...well, bigger. "Let's pick up Harry at the airport?" I asked softly and as always when she heard his name, she jerked up and started to heckle. Her mouth was opened wide, making her look like she would actually smile. A soft bark followed, when she jumped off my lap and scurried towards the door. I chuckled softly, feeling my excitement bubble up some more. I had missed Harry so much – but Kiyomi made it a little bit better. I grabbed my keys and jacket from the hanger, also grabbing Kiyomi's leash. It was a leash with Kiyomi's name stitched in – a custom made by Alessandro Michelle. I was still cracking up about the sheer extravagance of it, but oh well. Kiyomi determinedly scurried towards the garage and waited patiently for me to open the door. "Good girl." I tousled through her fur rewardingly and let the garage door open with a hum. Kiyomi, seemingly at her best behaviour today, waited for me to open the boot and the door of the dog run before jumping in. I left her a trait before shutting run and boot and entering the car myself.
"Landing in ten. Hxx"
I received a text from Harry and started the engine before texting back quickly.
"On our way, love!"
Harry replied with a read heart and I turned my phone off, turning the radio up. I was always hesitant with bringing Kiyomi to the airport, since she was friendly with strangers and mostly other dogs, but I wasn't keen on taking her patience too far one day. When she still had been a pup, I had been able to simply carry the fluffball in a bag, but that was no longer possible now. Harry would be surprised when he'd see. I parked at a private slot in the parking lot, close to the exit and prepared the leash to get Kiyomi out of the cage. She obeyed immediately, staying close to my side. She probably felt my excitement but also my slight fear of getting recognised by a) the public and b) the press. I pulled my hood up and let my hair dangle over my face, realising that I had forgotten to take my sunglasses with me. "Let's get Harry. Come on." I whispered and Kiyomi yelped excitedly.
She was the first one to spot Harry, immediately staring to pull towards him and nudge me into the right direction. The second Harry spotted us, a smile spread on his face and he hurried towards us. Kiyomi barked softly, immediately jumping up at him, trying to lick his face. "Hello my girls! Jesus, you are huge!" he greeted with a laugh, before finally engulfing me in his arms. "Ello there babe. Missed yeh." He said, burring his face in my hair. I pulled him closer, exhaling his scent for the first time in months. "Missed you too...seems like I am not the only one..." I laughed, referring to Kiyomi, who ran around us in circles, excitedly jumping up at both of us. Harry smiled widely, going on his knees to hug the hyper happy dog. "Missed yeh too, missus." He chuckled, snuggling his face into her soft fur. "Glad we got that one." He admitted with a wink. "I know. Told ya." He grinned, getting up again. "That you did. Let's go home?" I nodded softly, intertwining my fingers with his. "Yes please. Let's go home."
