        A loud crash shook Eren's apartment. It was followed by another streak of light and a boom. Eren shook his head gently and he grabbed the pile of blankets on his couch. He paused, however, when he spotted the trembling bulge on his bed.

        "Levi?" Eren asked, tapping the blanket.

        "H-hey, Eren," Levi commented. He seemed to try and sound normal- bored and ticked- but he whimpered timorously. Eren dropped the blankets on the floor. He stepped closer.

        "Levi?" He repeated. "What are you doing?"

        "N-nothing," Levi responded instantly. "I'm warming up the blanket for yo-"

        A thunderclap surprised a squeak from Levi. Eren raised his eyebrows.

        "Levi," he said slowly, "are you afraid of thunderstorms?"

        "What?" Levi roared, popping up from under the fleece. "F-fuck no!"

        "Mhmm..." Eren crossed his arms as the sound of a bowling ball collision had Levi quivering beneath the covers. He walked around to the other side of the bed and crawled in. The boy wrapped an arm around Levi's stiff body and pressed his head into the soldier's hair.

        "It's okay to be afraid," Eren whispered. When Levi stayed quiet, he added, "I'm scared of things."

        "Like what?" His voice came out muffled.

        "Hange Zoe."

        Levi huffed, one of his laughs. "What else?"

        "And spiders."

        Eren chuckled at himself and Levi mumbled, "You're hardly a man if you're afraid of spiders."

        "Says the man cowering under a blanket because of loud noises!"

        "It's scary," Levi admitted.

        It is silent for a minute. Then, so quiet Eren just catches it, Levi breathes, "I think I love you, Eren Yëager."

        Eren smiled and hugged tighter. "I think I love you, too, Levi Ravioli."
