        Day Seven- Hanji Helps

        (11/13/14)

Hanji had been poking and prodding me all day, it seemed. She looked into my face, squinting through her thick-rimmed glasses, scrutinizing my every feature. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Is this really necessary?" I asked wearily.

"Yes!" Hanji shouted. She made a sort of squealing sound as she grinned.

Fangirls these days, I thought. The Titan lover patted my over-preened hair again and straightened my tie.

"There," she whispered with pride, stepping back to examine her work.

        "T-thanks, Hanji-San," I smiled weakly.

"Damn, I'm good," she grinned again maniacally.

I looked over at the full-length mirror. I ran a hand through my hair, the brown locks splaying everywhere. I felt and looked even taller and thinner with the black slacks Hanji stuffed me into earlier. The dress shoes I had squeezed into were already killing me. If I didn't squirm too much, the pain was just under unbearable. So I stood, straight and still, my feet motionless. A black tie lay with sophistication and in stark contrast to my white dress shirt. I touched the buttoned-up cuffs on either wrist softly.

"Don't you just love it?" Hanji screeched, surprising a jump from me and cutting me out of my thoughts abruptly.

"Yeah, it's....It's alright," I muttered. I walked to the island in my kitchen and leaned my elbows on it. I toyed with some random objects: a pair of keys to various doors, a stray apple with a bruise on it, and a spray bottle accompanied by a washcloth danced in my nervous hands.

"Eren, c'mere," Hanji called with a sly tone.

I stepped hesitantly back into the front room. Resting in her upturned palms were two objects. In one hand was my cellphone. I grabbed the technology and pocketed it appreciatively. The other I denied, and in a dry voice I growled, "No thanks, Hanji, I don't think we'll need condomns for a dinner date."

Hanji shrugged and set the box on a table. "Just making sure," she chuckled. Then I heard the door open softly. I turned to the entryway.

        "Levi," I breathed.
