Rise With Frost (Reader x Jack Frost, Rise of the Guardians) [COMPLETE]

Chapter 7

"How come," asked North, repeating Jack question. "I tell you how come! Because now, you are Guardian!"

Now:

Jack's pov.

I stood there, questioning what I heard was right. North just said I was going to be Guardian. The elves played jubilant music on trumpets and drums as (Y/N) practically jumped from the sudden burst of noise. Tooth and her tooth fairies brought me a snowflake necklace. I looked like it was made if paper, and I just stood there as I let them put it around my neck.

"This is the best part!" The festivities continue while the Elves march around. The yetis with poi sticks walk closer to both me and (Y/N), then behind stand behind us. They grab me by my arms and shoulders, and prop me up on a spot in the middle of the Guardian symbol.

Three Elves came up to me, hats jingling. Two of them held a wooden platform that held blue, white and silver pointy shoes. The third Elf ppinted from me to the shoes, and I shook my head as I continued to see what everyone was attempting to do. North still seemed delighted as the yetis present stood on either side of him. The Tooth Fairies twitter, and Sandy toasts me with eggnog while Bunny rolls his eyes.

I grip my staff tighter as I look over to see (Y/N) giggling to herself. I look back at North as he is about to speak, but before he can, I slam my staff down, which creates a burst of cold air. Sandy hides behind North, who's covering his face with the book. Tooth and her fairies dart up towards the globe, while Bunny and (Y/N) both shield themselves.

"What makes you think I wanna be a guardian?" Is all I can ask, mostly because it's the first thing that came to mind. North looks both at me and (Y/N), and laughs. Bunny joins in nervously before throwing a serious expression on his face again. The Yetis and Elves do the same thing before looking at north with confused expressions.

"Of course you do. Music!" North said as He snapped his fingers. The Elves played the music again, but before it could get out of hand, I stopped them. "No music!"

The music dies down quikly, and an Elf with a trumpet slams it to the ground, and walks off, pushing aside another Elf.

I looked to (Y/N), and smiled. "This is all very flattering, but, uh... You don't want me. You're all hard work and deadlines. And I'm... snowballs and fun times. I'm not a Guardian," I said while continuing to look at (Y/N), who stood there, blushing. She looked to the ground in attempt to hide her face.

She's kinda cute like that, I thought.

Bunny stood all the way up, and pointed a boomerang at me. "Ha! That's exactly what I said!" North and Bunny both looked at me, until Tooth broke the awkward silence. "Jack, I don't think you understand what it is we do." Tooth pointed to the glove in the middle of the room. I realized now, that there was glowing lights on it, some flickering, some turning on, and others going out completely. "Each of those lights is a child-" North cut her off by finishing her sentance.

"A child who believes. And good or bad, Naughty or Nice, we protect them."

I thought about what he said. "A child who belives...

That would also mean that (Y/N) believes. I dart a quick glance to her, and see her still looking down, pulling on her sleeves. I looked back at north, who was reading something in his book. Before I'm about to say anything, tooth flies up to me.

"Teeth. Let me see your teeth. Do they- oh, they do sparkle like freshly fallen snow!" She grabbed my face, and stated poking at my teeth. I yelp in surprise, and North looks up. "Tooth, fingers out of mouth," he said as tooth backed up to look at me. "Sorry, they're really beautiful," she said to me, and zipped back to North side.

North looked to me, then (Y/N), them back to me. "Okay no more wishy washy, Pitch is out there."

I shot my head up, and looked at (Y/N), who shot her head up to look at North. Her eyes had a scared look to them, and recognition crossed her face.

She looked back to me as we both said the same thing. "Pitch?!"
