Previously:
The boy rushed in to see the girl on the bed, pieces of clay scattered about the floor.
The boy rushed over to the girls bed, checking to see if she was alright. The girls finger twiched, alerting the boy, who watched with hopeful eyes as her body moved.
Now...
Jack's pov.
I watched silently and hopefully as (Y/N)'s body moved. It had been years, decades even since I last saw her moving and talking. I had just walked into the room after hearing things shatter and break. The vase that held the flowers I brought her was now on the floor, among with books, glass, and her blanket.
As the Gaurdians stared around the room, I kept my eyes on (Y/N), watching to find any sign of her waking up.
"Come on, (Y/N). Wake up. Please," I whispered as my head bowed down. I heard coughing for a brief moment, and looked up to see if it was any of the Gaurdians. After watching their faces with confusion and another cough, I was able to confirm that it was (Y/N).
I grabbed her hand, anxious to see if she was going to wake up. Frost glazed over her fingertips as I grabbed her hand, and I immediately dropped them, afraid I was hurting her.
Her body shivered before she opened her eyes, and when she saw me and smiled, I had to stifle back a scream. Tears streamed down my face as she started speaking.
"Jack? What's going on?" She seemed as though she remembered me, and for that, I grabbed her shoulders and pulled her in close, feeling her heart beat for the first time in almost sixty years.
Though she hadn't aged, it felt as though we were years apart.
She was hesitant for a minute before hugging me back, gently. We stayed in the moment for awhile until North cleared his throat. I pulled away from the hug, somewhat wishing that it would've lasted way longer. I stared at North as Bunny came up beside me, and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Mate, we need to get you to rest now. Besides, I think she'll need time to think," Bunny said, nodding to the door. I looked at North, then Tooth, who nodded and shooed me away.
I sighed as I took a step out of the room. I probably should rest now. At least I know she's awake, I thought to myself.
Every time we've had an encounter with Pitch, he bruises me pretty badly. But only because I could never stop thinking about (Y/N), and what Pitch did to her. I never had the energy to actually fight, and I just wanted her by my side. I never wanted anything more, than to sit next to her, and whisper sweet nothing's as though everything were fine.
I never knew how upset I could get until I realized that she wouldn't be by my side for a long time.
I nodded and left the room, letting us both think and talk to ourselves.
*****(Y/N)'s pov...*****
Jack left the with Bunny, which ment I was left with North and Tooth. Which wasn't a bad thing in any case, it was just really uncomfortable as they stood infront of me, staring me down.
I felt the need to speak, but I didn't know what to talk about, so instead I just bowed my head, and didn't say a word.
The tension in the room was thick enough, I could've used a spoon to scoop it up.
North shook his head, placing his hand on Tooth's shoulder before leaving. Tooth looked back at me, sighing and flying over to sit on the edge of my bed.
I felt so weak, weak enough I almost fell back onto the bed.
Tooth just stared at me, curiosity and amazement in her eyes. "You're pretty strong and determined, (Y/N). You've gone through so many battles with Pitch so far, and you're still here. Sometimes, you amaze me, (Y/N). Someyimes you amaze me." With that, she left my room, leaving me to ponder what was said to me.
