Chapter 25

Previously:

As we walked to the Principals office, someone called Ambers name. When I looked over, my worst nightmare was walking over, staring straight at me and Amber.

Now...

I cringed and as the people who chased me out onto the lake kept walking closer. I turned and started to leave, but Amber stopped me.

"Oh, I didn't know my friends went to this school," she said as she dragged me over to the other kids. "Look! There's Sasha, Chloe, and Martha! Omg, and Chap!" My eyes shot wide open as I realized she new them. As we stopped in the hall, the gang stared me down before looking at Amber with open arms, and happy looks.

"Omg. Ambs, is that you? I didn't think we'd see eachother again," Chloe said as she hugged Amber. I cringed in disgust as Martha looked at me, she raised her hand, but before she could slap me, Amber put her arm around me.

"Hey, guess who I made a friend today?" She said. The group looked at me with disgust as I stood quietly. After awhile, Chloe hesitantly put her arm around me. "Well, anyone who is a friend of Ambs, is a friend of ours," she said through gritted teeth.

I smiled sarcastically before rolling my eyes. "What ever," I simply said. Amber looked at me, then back at Chloe. She smiled, and started to drag me away again. As she waved goodbye to the group, she turned to me, and asked, "Are you okay? You seem like your off."

I shook my head, then explained to her what they did to me over the years. "They bullied me, pushed me, and physically beat me. They made my life horrible! I can't believe your friends with them."

She stared at me as I kept walking to the Principle's Office. I never cared for friends of that group. It was like I was on their imaginary hit-list, and that they planned to torture me forever. I planned to stay as far away as I could from that group.

But now that I knew Amber was a friend of theirs, I didn't want to be anywhere near her. Chloe, the queen of that group, found anyway possible to get anyone I knew, to turn against me.

But, it was nice what Amber called me her friend. The only friend I've ever had, was before 2nd grade, and then as soon as we got third grade, my family had to move. And I never heard from her again.

As we continued walking, Amber kept talking about her coming over after school days to hang, but I kept declining. She seemed stubborn about it, but I kept shrugging it off.

"Oh my god, are you just saying that so that I won't keep staring at that cute boy I saw you with?" I straightened my posture as I looked over to her. She had those dreamy eyes girls get when talking about hot and famous actors. I grabbed the straps of my bag tightly. I felt a little stab of pain, but kept my mouth shut.

If she liked him, would it be possible that he could like her, I thought. I would never admit it out loud, but now that she mentioned it, I felt something for that boy, that I've never felt before. It felt as though my heart would pound out of my chest.

I shook the thoughts out of my head as we got to the principles office. When he saw Amber, he looked to me and said, "I'll take it from here, (Y/N)," and with that, I was on my way to my locker.
