Everyone had gone out for the night to various places, but I decided to stay in and work out where this Air Sphere was.
I took out the map from my desk drawer and pinned it up on the board I had put up the other day, along with different notes and pictures; I even found some newspaper clippings from years ago that talk about a Sphere like it.
As I opened up my laptop I heard a soft knock at the front door. I frowned as I walked downstairs to see who interrupted me.
Opening the door I saw the one person I kinda hoped it wouldn't be. "Evening Chase." I smiled.
"Hi. Erm. Can I come in?" He asked, hands in his pockets looking like a little lost puppy.
I moved out the way and motioned for him to enter. He walked in and I closed the door behind him before we both moved to the living room.
He stood in the middle of the room while I stood by the door, arms crossed over my chest. He looked down at his feet, bouncing on them in the silence that filled the whole house.
"Not doing much tonight then?" I asked, trying to break this awkward silence.
"No. Phones on just in case" he took his phone out his pocket and showed it me, unsure why. "What are you doing?"
I sighed before motioning him to follow me. We went upstairs and I showed him my little Command Centre. "I'm looking at everything I can find on the Air Sphere and trying to track down everything." I sat on my chair as Chase perched on the end of my bed. "It's long and tedious but trying to do something to find it. It's the missing one."
"Were you really ever coming back?" Chase blurted out, making me jump a little out of shock and surprise.
"I...er....I dunno" I looked down at my hands and started fiddling with the belt loop on my jeans.
"I always thought you might. And not for any reason other than, well, me."
I looked up to him to see Chase looking directly at me. "You have a girlfriend."
He jumped off the bed as he spoke, "Yeah after you didn't speak to me for months! I was worried about you, thought something had happened! But when I came over and asked your mum and she said you were fine...." he paused in front of me, looking down to me in the chair. "I thought you didn't want anything to do with me. So yeah, I moved on."
"I haven't dated anyone since I left here."
"Great! But was I suppose to just wait around in a hope you'd return?!" He shouted as I got off my chair and moved to my desk.
I didn't know what to say, I did just leave him high and dry. I should have messaged him. Why didn't I?
"Chase, I'm so sorry -" I started to apologise but as I turned to face him he crashed his lips onto mine, pushing me back to the desk. His hands reached round my waist and pulled me closer as the kiss deepened.
I hadn't touched someone like this since last time I was here, let alone kiss anyone. I wasn't sure what I was suppose to do. It was as if I'd forgotten. But Chase soon helped me remember. He gently nudged my arms, moving my hands to his hair. I ran my fingers through his hair and he let out a soft moan against my lips.
Chase moved his hands down and picked me up, wrapping my legs round his waist and moved to my bed. He lay me down gently, not breaking our kiss, and hovered above me.
He soon pulled away, leaning his forehead against mine as we caught our breath. "Kylie. I missed you."
"I missed you two" I smiled, softly stroking the side of his face.
"And, I love you. I honestly do." He whispered, looking straight into my eyes.
"I love you too."
