I thought about it for a moment before taking his hand and walking with him into the sea. The floor seemed to disappear quickly under my feet which caught me by surprise, but I managed to hold myself above the water. Heckyl grabbed my waist and pulled me between the rocks, where the sand came back. I looked out towards the beach and we were quite far out now but the water started getting less and less.

I turned to see where we were going and in front of me was a little beach, under the cliff. How had I never noticed this before!? The mouth was looking out to sea but jaggered rocks were round the edge shielding the opening to the beaches either side.

We got up to the sand and sat down next to each other, "probably got a few hours before the tide comes in."

"Wow. This is amazing." I looked round the little cave area with minimal light but enough that you could see the seaweed stuck in the rocks above. "It's so quiet here too. Just the sound of the sea."

"I sometimes come here to think. Get away for a bit."

"You're showing your human side."

"I know. I hate it." He frowned but smirked too

I smiled at his goofy look. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. Maybe he was the good guy... what if he was the good guy? And the Rangers were the bad ones!? They've hurt me more than he had. Well, emotionally anyway. Physically, yeah he had them beat there. But... maybe he wasn't as bad as he made himself out to be.

"Heckyl?" He turned his head to look at me and I to him, "if I help you, do you promise not to hurt Chase? I just couldn't live with myself if he got hurt."

"If that's what it takes, then I promise that I will not hurt him." He smiled.

A weight lifted off my shoulders. And before I knew it, I had leaned in to find Heckyls lips. His touched mine so softly, so sweetly, that I honestly thought I could melt right there and then.
