It Can't Be...

Chapter 7

A/N:  Here is another chapter and I hope you enjoy it.

Tee POV

I still can't believe it. I was right all along. My brother didn't die, but what happened to him. Well, I will find out later, but right now, I still can't believe it.

I smile as I keep looking at him from head to toe. I made him sit right next to me on the couch. I didn't want him to sit too far away from me.

My friends have already helped to get Detrick's roommates into their own bedroom where they are fast asleep.

Detrick looks just about as shocked as I do.

I touch his face again and whisper, "I'm still afraid that someone will snap their fingers and you will suddenly disappear. I could sense that you were out there somewhere."

Detrick raises an eyebrow. "You could sense me. How?"

"I felt like I was missing a piece of me. I did research and projects on identical twin connections. All the twins and triplets that I interviewed said that when they are apart from each other, they would feel like a piece of them is missing. That is how I knew that you were still alive."

I squeeze his shoulder and then his arm.

He turns and shifts on the couch, so he is now facing me. "I still don't understand how I could be your twin brother. Mom has always told me that I didn't have any siblings."

Fear suddenly shuts through me. Whoever he is referring to, is definitely not his mother. SHIT! MOM! DAD! How am I going to tell them?

I choke out, "M.Mom?"

He nods his head and a small frown forms on his face. "Mom passed away a few months back. That is why I'm here in Thailand. I stayed with her parents when I initially came back, but they don't seem to like me. They didn't even know when my birthday was."

Well, I may know why, but do I tell him? He has no idea that his mother isn't his real mother. I don't even know whether or not his grandparents know that he was taken. I hate to say kidnapped, but that is what I'm thinking happened.

I wrap my hands around his and I smile. "Well, you don't have to worry about that now. You have me and I'll never forget."

Tae chuckles and wraps his arm around my waist as he rests his chin on my shoulder. "And you have all of us, too. By the way, I like your name better than your original name. Too still makes me chuckle when I think about it."

Detrick shakes his head. "Too? Mother never told me that she changed my name."

There is so much that I need to tell him, but where do I start. Do I begin without our parents? Well, I still don't think that he knows that he was kidnapped as a baby and I'm not going to be the one to tell him. Not yet, anyway.

I gently rub my thumb over the back of his hand. "There is so much that I want to tell you. I don't even know where to begin. Plus, I want to know about everything that you have been doing up until now."

Tae kisses my cheek and whispers, "Baby, why don't you introduce your friends first. We have overrun his apartment and he still doesn't know our names."

I can't believe that I forgot to introduce everyone. I nod my head. "Oh, sorry. I'm just so excited. First, I'm sure that you have figured other that this handsome man with his arms wrapped around me is my boyfriend, and his name is Tae."
