A/N: Here is another chapter and I hope you enjoy it.
Detrick (D) POV
These past few weeks have been a whirlwind. I have gone to the hospital and gotten the DNA testing done. Now, we are just waiting for the results to confirm that Tee and I are identical twin brothers. Even though we know what the results will be, I'm still nervous that something will go wrong in the process. In the back of my mind, I don't want anything to stop or prevent me from actually being a part of my real family, legally.
Besides the blood work, I had to go to the police station several times to answer more questions. Luckily, Tee and Tae went with me each time. Just them being close to me gives me a calm that I have never had before. In the back of my mind, I wish that I had a Tae too. I know that he is dating my brother and that he loves him, but I can't deny the fact that Tae is one of the few people that can calm me down when I get upset.
Having him close by has really helped, especially when the police started asking more questions. The more that I told them about my life and my mother, the more agitated I became. I don't want to think about why she did that back then. No. I want to move forward and to become 'officially' part of my real family again. I never knew that coming here would change my world upside down, but it has.
My real parents are also wanting until this done and over with. We all agreed that we wouldn't tell the rest of the family until it was official that all my documents, including my birth certificate, have my real parents name on them. I think that has been the hardest to understand. Since my mother was a nurse and knew what needed to be done to get a birth certificate, she had a doctor sign paperwork regarding my birth while she listed herself as my mother. The police wanted to tell me how my mother was able to pull it off, but I don't want to listen. I want to move on and being told exactly how my mother lied and falsified documents isn't helping me.
So, until the police and the government are able to provide me with the proper documents having Porsche and June listed as my parents, we are holding off telling too many people. I have to admit that the waiting is getting harder as each day passes by.
I blankly stare out the car window wondering how much longer it is going to take. Why can't there be a faster way to get this done?
From the front seat, Tee chimes, "I'm glad that you came along. Tae's parents are excited to meet you."
I snap out of my thoughts and shake my head. "I still don't understand why you are bringing me along to your boyfriend's house to celebrate his father's birthday. Is there even a place for me to sleep? I'm telling you right now, I'm not sleeping in the same room as two of you. I don't want to see or hear anything that you guys do in bed."
Tee chuckles. "Tae's family has a big house and there are plenty of rooms. Don't worry."
Tae takes his eyes off the road for a moment and glances at me through the rearview mirror. "We thought that it would help to distract you for a bit coming to my family's home for the celebration, but we aren't going to make you sleep with us in the same bed. However, it wouldn't be the first time. You act like we have never done that before."
As Tae focuses back onto the road, I huff, "Hey! It has only happened a couple of times, and each time, I was an emotional wreck. I needed your support and strength. I'm very grateful for it, but I don't want it to become a habit. The next thing you know you will be making out or having sex next to me."
