Chapter 23

Tee POV

Oh, I hope we did the right thing in letting Dean come with us. However, I never dreamt that our parents would have Dean stay in Detrick's room. I wasn't expecting that.

I look at the wall that separates my room from Detrick's and I can't stop wondering what is going on in there. Is Dean keeping his promise and not rushing my brother or is he taking full advantage of the moment? Oh, I don't know what I'll do if Dean tries to push Detrick too fast. Shoot. Detrick still hasn't had his first kiss. Don't even get me started on how much I hate the fact that he didn't feel like he could leave that nasty woman alone, so he could have a normal high school life. I'm still thankful for Dee and Shane, who tried their best to give Detrick some sense of normalcy.

Frustrated, I ran my hand through my hair and sigh. What are they doing in there?

I'm so absorbed in my thoughts that I don't even realize that Tae has crawled across the bed and is now laying beside me.

A soft chuckle breaks me from my thoughts. I turn my head and I'm instantly greeted with Tae's warm smile.

I furrow my eyebrows. "What is so funny?"

His smile grows wider. "You. Are you going to stare at that wall all night long? You know that Dean has given his word to me that he won't try anything with Detrick, unless Detrick asks for it. So, you don't have to worry."

Oh, he is forgetting that I know him too well. That promise doesn't mean a whole lot to me. If Dean is anything like Tae, which I think that they are a lot alike, then Dean will know how to persuade Detrick into giving in. If I remember right, that is exactly what Tae did to me.

I was always straight and not interested in guys until I met Tae. I still remember the turmoil that I was in after meeting him. He made me feel things that I never felt before, but I was fighting them right from the start.

However, Tae wasn't going to take no for an answer. Well, he would listen to me, but he wouldn't pay attention to it.

I happened to run into Tae at the bar a few nights after the first time that I met him. I was drinking more than I normally do, because I was trying to get rid of those silly feelings that I kept having every time that I would look at him. I had thought that I had gone crazy.

It didn't take long for Tae to find me after he entered the bar. Copter still says that Tae practically came right to me, but I'm still not sure. However, once Tae found me, he wasn't going to leave me. I had too much to drink and I ended up totally wasted.

Even though I was drunk, I can still remember everything. Tae insisted on being the one to take me back to my dorm room. Godt had made him promise to take good care of me and not to try anything, which Tae agreed to quickly. What Godt didn't plan on was Tae's persuasive technique. I'll have to admit that he didn't have to say too much. I was attracted to him and the alcohol wasn't helping me at all. Well, it did help Tae considerably.

I remember begging Tae to help me resolve my issue since I was aroused just being around him. Technically, Tae was doing what I asked him, but we ended up having sex all night long. It wasn't long after that I caved and agreed to be his boyfriend.

If Dean has the same persuasive techniques as Tae, I'm worried about Detrick. I can tell that Detrick is attracted to Dean just like I was to Tae, but will Detrick be able to stop Dean.
