It Can't Be...

Chapter 21

A/N:  Here is another chapter and I hope you enjoy it.

Dean POV

I just can't wait any longer. Well, I was planning on seeing Detrick this weekend, but Tae told me that him, Tee and Detrick were going to Tee and Detrick's parent's house. They are planning on having a family get together and telling the rest of the family the good news.

However, Tae didn't give me this information willing. I had to first prove that I wasn't going to hurt Detrick. I do have agree with Tae on that. I don't want anyone to hurt Detrick. He has suffered enough in his life, and I don't want him to suffer anymore.

So instead of seeing him this weekend, I'm coming to the university and surprising him during his lunch break. I practically had to beg Tae to give me the time and place where they normally eat. I'm so happy that I didn't have to beg too much. Sometimes, I think Tae enjoys torturing me.

As I pull up to the engineering canteen, my phone beeps. I quickly pull my phone out of my pocket. A smile instantly pops onto my face. It is a message from Tae letting me know that they are all there right now, including Detrick's friends from the United State. He had previously warned me that I would have to be nice to them or they may not let me date Detrick. However, I'm not going to let anything stop me now. I've already set my mind and sooner or later, Detrick is going to be mine. There is no other option.

I tuck my phone back into my pocket, and I get out of my car.

Okay, this is it. I hope he isn't mad at me. I really want to take it slow, but if I don't come right now, I won't be able to see Detrick for possibly two weeks. I can't wait that long. Shoot. These past 4 days have seemed to drag on forever. I could have sworn that it was 4 months instead of just 4 days.

As I walk towards the canteen, I straighten my business suit. I want everything to look perfect.

I ignore the looks and the stares from the students. It doesn't matter anyway. There is only person that is beautiful in my eyes. Okay, two, but they are identical twin brothers. No one else can compare.

I stop at the entrance of the canteen. This is it. I take a deep breath and walk in.

Immediately, I can feel everyone's eyes on me. Well, it isn't every day that you see a handsome guy dressed in a suit walking into the canteen.

I scan the tables and my eyes stop on a table in the far back. There he is.

Tae notices me and waves at me while motioning for me to come sit with them. I wave back and my smile only gets wider the closer I get to the table.

Luckily, Detrick hasn't look up yet and I keep my eyes on him. I don't want to miss the look on his face when he sees me here.

As I get close to the table, Tae chimes, "Dean, it is good to see you, but I'll have to admit that this is the first time that you have ever visited me while I've been at the university. Is there some special reason why you are visiting me now?"

I keep my eyes locked on Detrick, but I don't have to look to hear the teasing in his voice. He knows why I'm here and it isn't because of him.

I chuckle, "Who says that I came to visit you? Maybe I had to come to the university for another reason. Did you forget that I graduated from here?"

As soon as I start to talk, Detrick's head pops up and our eyes lock. His confused look is adorable, but I have to control myself. I don't want to be too straight forward.
