Chapter 14

A few days later Haley realized her period hadn't arrived. And that had never happened before. She decided to go to the pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test. She didn't know wether to go to see Nathan or if she should just do it by herself. But she didn't want to go through this alone. She wasn't ready to have a kid. She was only 16.
She called Brooke.
"Hey tutorgirl." She said
"Um.. i have a situation." Haley sniffled
"What's wrong?" She asked
"I'm late and I've never been late before."
"Oh my god Haley!"
"What should I do. I mean should I tell Nathan?" She asked
"Yeah, I mean you did say that you were going to be more open to him. Maybe now your chance to show him." Brooke responded
"Yeah I'll go over in a bit. Thank you so much. Love you."
"Bye tutorgirl."
Haley hung up and texted Nathan.
Haley: hey r u at home?"
Nathan: soon, w/ Luke @ river court.
Haley: how long do you think you'll be?
Nathan: around ten minutes. Why?
Haley: we need to talk. Can I meet you at your place in fifteen?
Nathan: ok sure see you then.
She then went to her car and drove to his house. She sat in her car since she had not idea what to say or how to tell him.
She finally was able to have enough strength to knock on his door.
Nathan answered the door.
"Hey hales." He said giving me a hug.
"Hey." She said as she walked into the foyer.
Haley had a nervous look on her face which scared Nathan.
"What is it? You're starting to scare me hales!" He stated
"Maybe we need to go up to your room for this."
"Ok." He said and they both went upstairs to his room.
"So tell me what's this about?" He asked
"Um... so I could be wrong and I don't want you to freak out but I am really scared right now because this could affect us tremendously..." she babbled
"Don't worry hales. I'm here by your side. Always and forever remember."
"Sorry right. Um well I am um late." She confessed, he looked at her confused.
"Um, I think I may be pregnant. But I might not be so it's just my period is late and it's never been late before. I wanted to tell you because we promised to be more open with each other and also I want someone to be by my side." She sobbed and Nathan went in to hug her once again.
"Of course. I promised that you are stuck with me. You can tell me anything. And I'll be there to support you in whatever decision you decide to make." He comforted
"Thank you that means the world to me Nathan." She smiled
"So how do we do this?" He asked
"Um I have to use your bathroom and then we will see."
She went into his bathroom and took the test.
"I put the timer for 3 minutes and we just have to wait." She stated. He squeezed her hand so she knew he was there and she smiled.
After three minutes she looked at the test and began crying.
"What does it say?" He asked
"I'm not pregnant." She sobbed and tears fell swiftly. She had all sorts of emotions running through her at the moment. She runs into Nathan's arms and repeats
"Im not pregnant." And cries of happiness.
Nathan and Haley stayed in their current position for a while.
"I'm sorry for being an emotional wreck the last couple weeks. It's just been a lot." Haley said
"Don't ever apologize for feeling. Haley you care more than anyone I've ever seen. You are so kind and beautiful and strong. I know you don't realize how strong you are but some day you'll look back and realize that you've been through more things than some people experience in a lifetime. And Haley just know that you are allowed to feel. Feeling is good it means you care. And that is one of the many things I love about you. Also that you are sexy as hell." He expressed
"I love you so much." She confessed and she then kissed him and it turned into a whole make out session.

This was basically just a pregnancy scare but Nathan and Haley haven't done it yet.
