"Okay, so, here's your room I guess." I motioned to the small guest room. It wasn't much, there was just a queen-sized bed with a mirror and a desk and a drawer. Since he was an Alpha, I'm sure he had a castle of a room. I liked living small so this probably disgusted him.Wait, what was I thinking? I wasn't trying to please my mate. No. I was just thinking this in terms of a guest, or in this case, our prisoner. I didn't care about his thoughts about me or how I lived. This was home.
"This works fine," West replied, walking inside and looking around.
"There's a bathroom right across the hall and in the closet, there should be a towel. I'll ask my Delta to grab some clothes for you from the human town near us."
He continued to nod, however his gaze wasn't on the accessories of the room, but on me. I felt my cheeks flush but I cleared my throat.
"So, I suppose that's all. Do not leave. Ask me." I turned to go.
"Wait." Suddenly he grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside. My back hit the wall and he put his two arms on either side of me, caging me inside.
"What the--what the heck are you doing?" I yelled at him.
"Just be quiet." West kissed my nose, peppering kisses on the underside on my jaw as he inhaled my scent. "My wolf is going crazy not being able to touch you. Please, let me just do this, to calm him down."
His voice was pleading, almost begging me. Felicia pawed and whined in my mind to just give in. It was just for his wolf right? Mine could be stubborn too, perhaps that was his wolf's attributes as well.
"Alright. Only for a few minutes." I whispered.
West slowly put his arms around me as his face was on my neck, just breathing in my scent. I leaned down and did the same. Cedar and sandalwood. What an interesting combination. It fit him perfectly, though.
Later in the day, I went to pick up my siblings.
"Guess what, Isla?" Mila said as I put them in their room. I didn't want West to see them, for now at least. Who knows how he would react to my precious ones. At least for now, I want to keep them safe for as long as possible.
"Yes?"
"We got to meet Ms. Victoria! She's going to be staying with us at school! Mrs. Jenny had to leave so Mr. Dale and Ms. Victoria will be the new teachers."
"That's nice! And how is Ms. Victoria?"
"Ms. Victoria is really, really nice! Mr. Dale is going to marry her!" Chase giggled.
My thoughts stopped short. "Wait...what?"
"I said Mr. Dale is going to marry Ms. Victoria. Didn't you hear, Isla?" Chase repeated.
"Oh...I see." Who am I kidding? It was a stupid, stupid tiny crush on a human of all things. I didn't even know he had a fiancee. He acted like I was his sister for crying out loud. "Alright guys, stay here, I'm going to make a snack for you."
While I was spreading the Nutella onto the bread, I heard a man scream and two kids screaming. The worst possible situations came to mind. Had he hurt them?! Are they dead?! I ran up the wooden stairs quickly as fast as possible and came upon a wet West in only a towel, pointing at Mila and Chase who were laughing on the floor.
"What the actual heck Isla?! I was just showering when these two opened the curtain!" He yelled, still pointing an accusing finger at the kids.
"HE WAS NAKED!" The children screamed laughed.
I wasn't really listening to the situation. There was Mr. Sexy in all his half-naked glory, his olive skin completely toned and glistening with the water dripping down him. I didn't believe normal Alpha's could have actual eight packs, but he proved me wrong. I should seriously get back to reading Wattpad stories. It wasn't just fiction!! West's black hair wasn't as messy and was straight down with the wetness.
"Hello? Isla! Get your darn head out of the clouds! Why didn't you tell me you had a daughter and a son?! You were with a human?!" West glared at me.
Oh crap, he was mad. Like really mad. Oops, this wasn't good. I mean, who could blame him? There were random children in this house and just me.
"Wait, West, they're actually my--"
"Don't. Just. Don't. I didn't know I had to go this long to find my mate who already had kids. And...they aren't mine." His eyes... usually had a teasing spark. Instead, that was replaced with a broken heart.
"But you actually have to listen!"
He slammed the door in my face. I stood there with a closed door and a Nutella smeared knife in my hand. I slowly turned around and gave my sister-glare to the two who looked like they were completely innocent.
"I told you to stay in your rooms. Why didn't you listen?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Uh, well,...it was Chase's fault!" Mila pointed to her brother.
"What?? But you were the one who--" Chase got a mouthful of Mila's hand.
"Yeah. He was being super stupid. We'll atone for our sins and won't do it again. But, Isla, who was that man?"
"He's just a guest. I don't want you near him. Understood?" I said firmly. They nodded, now that they knew I meant business.
I sighed and went downstairs, finishing up the two sandwiches. I had two more pieces of bread left and a bit more Nutella. I smiled and picked up the rest.
"Knock, knock," I whispered.
"Come in." A voice responded.
I slowly opened the door and held the plate in front of my face. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to meet them this early. Here's a peace offering." I handed him the plate with a Nutella banana honey sandwich, the Sunshine pack's specialty.
West was sitting on the bed, now with a white long-sleeved t-shirt and track pants. He seemed to have calmed down now.
"So, nice kids." Mr. Alpha took it and broke it in half as I sat down next to him. It was alright to stop acting like I was intimidating for now.
"They're not mine." I quickly said, taking the other half before the situation could escalate again. "I mean they are but um, Mila and Chase are my siblings."
He choked and looked at me. "Your...brother and sister? So, they're not yours, yours?"
"Yeah. I'm an Alpha, I don't have time to be parading in the human town, hooking up with guys who aren't my mate you know?" I said, looking down at my half-eaten food. "Honestly, I thought I'd never have a mate."
"Me too."
My head shot up and I looked at him in amazement. "Wait...really?"
"Yeah. I thought I'd never find one. When I did meet her, I mean you, I would save myself."
"Right." We just saved ourselves for different reasons, but, it kind of felt good that he wasn't with any other she-wolf. It was in my instincts to guard my territory, which included my mate.
"You're on my bed."
"Huh?" His voice broke my thoughts and confused me with what he was saying.
"I could do anything to you now." West's teasing spark was back as he put his plate down.
"Yeah, no. I'm your Alpha at the moment in case you couldn't tell. You may have a house, but you're a prisoner. This also doesn't include me."
"But I can smell your attraction towards me."
What he said made my cheeks completely red as I quickly got up.
"Wow, you're almost as bright red as your hair with that blush."
Now he was just being annoying. "Yeah, whatever. Now you're confined to your room." I ran out of there and leaned the back of my head on the door. West Hunter was going to be the death of me.
