{Mallory's Point of View}

"Ughhh, does she have some sort of magic in her feet to make me feel this terrible?" I groaned, clutching my abdomen where Isla had kicked when I woke her up. It was two days and I still felt horrible. To top it all off, I got a cold.

The door loudly opened and the prisoner came waltzing right into my room. I scrambled to sit up, scared out of my wits from the loud entrance.

"Hey short-stuff, what's going on in here?"

"What the--who the heck invited you of all people into my room? Get the heck out!" I threw a pillow at him as he easily dodged it.

"Hmm, let me think...oh right, I'm staying at the packhouse with you to keep me company. So I invited myself. I think that explains it all, really." Ryan shrugged.

I continued to throw my pillows then accidentally threw my favorite pillow pet, Pudgy. "Nooo! Pudgy! Come back!"

"Pudgy? What? This thing?" He picked it up with his dirty hands and laughed. He laughed! "Wasn't this what, a 2014 thing?"

"Maybe, but I adore it! Get your filthy paws off of it, you animal!" I yelled as I slowly got up then winced in pain. I needed to have a serious talk with my Alpha on how she should lower down her strength, even in her sleep.

"Woah, hey, slow down there, Feisty. Don't hurt yourself." Ryan walked to my side of the bed and pushed me back down, gently.

"How did you know I hurt myself? I never told you." I asked curiously, getting back under the warm covers.

"Well, every time I visit, you're in bed, there are pills next to you..but this time it was obvious. You're not wearing a shirt and bandaged up."

I raised my eyebrows and looked down at my bandaged chest. I was freaking naked. Worst of all, in front of the cockiest, bastard player of all time. "GET OUT," I yelled again, pushing him away from me.

"Take a chill pill, Fiesty. I've seen more. Let me just help you a bit." Ryan chuckled as he started to stack my pillows around me and put Pudgy under my head. He then tucked the covers under my chin. "Better?"

"Whatever. Just leave." I muttered, my cheeks blushing.

Ryan put his hands in his pockets and started to walk out. "Get better short-stuff. Doesn't your pack need you?" With that, he left.

I furrowed my brow, thinking. Need me? I understood that I was the Delta. But something about that phrase made me wonder. I wasn't as needed as my Alpha and the Beta. It was probably just because I was in a position, that's all.

"Mallory, wake up." A soothing hand touched my burning cheek. "You must wake up."

My eyes flickered open to an open forest clearing, however, the floor was a blinding white. I wasn't injured anymore; I had on a small white robe and white shoes.

"Turn around, my dear Mallory."

I spun around to see a gorgeous lady with pale white skin. She was wearing a long white robe and her hair was so blonde, almost white, that reached her waist. She was beautiful and breathtaking. However, something was wrong. All down her arms were chains, and her ankles were in them as well.

"Mallory, I'm glad to see you. I knew it was time."

"Time? You're the Moon Goddess, aren't you?"

"Yes, I am. You must know, Mallory, that I am in bonds as you can tell. I've been taken hostage."

"What? But how? You're a goddess?" My mind ran with confusion so fast that I didn't even know possible.

"Someone stronger than me. Only one person. Dear Mallory, you are extremely special. You will not know until the time has come, but your extraordinary gifts will help the world and me."

"But, Moon Goddess, you cursed our pack. I am only a Delta. Wouldn't our Alpha be better to be special?"

She shook her head. "Only you. When the time comes you will know why things have been done to your pack for certain reasons. You will also discover yourself, despite your position. The position does not mean anything."

"But--"

"I must break my contact with you. You will understand. Goodbye, Mallory. You have me with you every step of the way."

A circle of fire rose around me, growing taller. The Moon Goddess was swept away by the wind. I tried to jump out. "Help! Please! Help!" I desperately screamed.

"Yo, Mallory, wake up!" My eyes opened to Ryan looking down at me, confused.

I sat up, my face drenched in sweat as I breathed heavily. "W-why are you here? I thought you left."

"Mallory, I left for like ten minutes and I hear screaming from your room."

"So you just come back up?"

"It was from your room, of course, I'd come..." Ryan immediately closed his mouth and looked away in silence. Then he sighed ran a hand through his hair. "What was it, a nightmare?"

"No..." I looked at him, unsure of whether I should say it. He was a prisoner from an enemy pack. For some reason though, something was irking me to just tell him. Like, he was trustworthy.

He sat down and looked at me. "Just tell me."

"I had a vision. It was from the Moon Goddess." There, I said it. Was he going to blab it to the whole world? Or worse, to his Alpha? Would they use that to get some secret information?

"Okay," Ryan said. That was it?

"A vision. From the Moon Goddess." I tried to enunciate. This was important!

"You can tell it to your Alpha. It's probably something I shouldn't hear. I'm a prisoner after all." He shrugged.

"Alright..." It was dark outside but I knew it would be hard to finally sleep again. It definitely did feel like a nightmare than more of a vision.

Ryan crawled to the empty side of my bed and lay down, his arms behind his head.

"What are you doing?" I asked, ready to spring if he was going to consider any funny business.

"You want to fall asleep right? Might be tough after the whole goddess thing. I'll stay here until you can calm down."

I looked at him in amazement. This crazy player of a Delta was going to help me fall asleep? What was he going to do, sing me lullabies?

"Just lie down." Ryan pushed me down and turned to look at me. "Just take deep breaths and think about something incredibly boring."

"You mean you?"

"Shut up." I giggled and he smiled.

He started to hum some tunes. Yep, he was singing me lullabies. But, it was kind of adorable. I think I was going to have a heart attack.

Right before my eyes started to close I could feel him stroking my curly mass of blonde locks and kiss my forehead. "Goodnight Mallory."

It was just a dream, right?
