"HELP! OH MY GODDESS, HELP!" A scream broke through my sleep and into a drowsy state.

"Wha--what? Mallory?" I asked, drowsily.

Another scream tore through the cabin and that shook me up. In front of me was Mal, writhing and pulling her sheets off of her. Ryan and West slammed the door open with Rosemary and Osmin behind.

"What's going on!?" Ryan ran towards her but she growled ferociously. Her canines were slowly protruding and fur appeared on her back.

"I-I don't know! It's as if she's half-shifting." I spoke, fear coursing through me. I had never seen anything like it. Suddenly, Mallory stopped tossing and stood up quietly, her wolf now nowhere to be seen.

West breathed in relief. "Thank Goddess, Mal, what--"

A bright light flashed inside the crowded room and her eyes started to glow, a shining white. "My dear wolves, it is me," Mallory spoke, yet it was not her voice.

"Is that..." I started.

"The Moon Goddess, yes.." Alpha Osmin replied breathlessly.

"Your friend Mallory Evanson was in deep distress because of me. She was feeling the pain I am feeling. The only way to communicate with you was to make her feel me and my sufferings. You must hurry. What will come will be coming soon. You must prepare."

"What will become of Mallory?" Ryan dared to ask.

She smiled. "I will make her better, do not worry. Hurry." The glow lessened back to her original green eyes. Mal wavered then fell on the bed, weak.

"Mallory!" We ran towards her and turned her over.

"Wha--what happened?" She whispered croakily. "I remember leaving, then feeling horrible...then nothing else. Ugh, I feel terrible. Everything hurts..."

Rosemary put her hand on her forehead. "Your fever is still there but it's definitely getting better. Was--was this what you were going to tell us about?"

"Yes. The Moon Goddess seemed to have beat us to it." I laughed nervously.

Mal gasped. "The Goddess was here?"

Ryan nodded. "Well, more like she spoke through you. I'll tell you later."

"It's not important now. It's three in the morning, you need to rest then we can discuss everything later." Rose said. "Hi, I'm the mate of Alpha Osmin of the Shadow Pack. So nice to meet you, dear."

She nodded, shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you. If you thought this was drama, you're in for a lot more..."

-------

Later in the morning, we were all sitting on the porch with all types of breakfast foods around us that Rosemary had whipped up. "I know it was a long night so I knew you young ones would be all famished!"

Mallory giggled and immediately took a plate of waffles and fruit. "After a couple days of not eating, I'm starving."

My eyes wandered to the most glorious sight. Next to West was a big container of Nutella. Hallelujah! I jumped out of my seat, then tripped and fell on his lap.

"I always knew you'd fall for me." He joked, lifting my arms up to look at me. "You alright, Miss Alpha?"

My ears burned bright red and I huffed. "I'm actually in love with my Nutella. So if you excuse me..." I grabbed the jar and spread the chocolatey goodness on a pancake.

Ryan snickered. "Ouch, bro."

"Anyway...we would love to hear about this whole thing that is happening...that is involving the Moon Goddess and why she is asking you to hurry?" Rosemary asked, pouring some tea for her mate.

"Speak now, this must be serious!" Alpha Osmin said.

West glared at Osmin and started the story. When he finished the Alpha and Rose looked at him, mid-eating. "But of course, we don't need all the packs right?" He looked at me with hopeful eyes.

Though I didn't like Osmin's attitude at all, I shook my head. "We need all of you. Please go to the Northern border and get all the packs you can to join us. Mallory will save us. We don't know how yet, but she's also the reason the Moon Goddess has been able to talk with us."

Rosemary slammed her cup down and stood up. "Of course we will help you!! To save our pack?? This is extremely obvious about what we must do!"

Osmin nodded. "My mate is the Luna of this pack. If she thinks it is to be done, then it must be done. We will also do what you say. Protect Mallory at all costs. The Alphas here can be pretty dangerous if they know she can save us."

Ryan immediately pulled her closer to him. "Nothing will happen to her. I promise."

I snickered, now he was openly showing his love towards her. It's too bad they weren't mates, otherwise, I would definitely allow him in the pack. He showed his dedication to her and that's the kind of wolf I wanted in my family.

"So? Which pack next?" Mal asked.

West put his cheek in his hand. "None of the packs in the Southern part are known for the niceness. In fact, each of them have a mate but they still hook up with other she-wolves."

Mallory and I looked at each other in disbelief. "B-but how?! That hurts their mate physically and emotionally! How can they just do that??"

He sighed. "I'm telling you, they are packs you don't want to meet."

"We only fought with two of them out of the seven packs. So, I don't want to meet with them. If they did agree with us, would they even agree going out and asking the other ones to join us too?" I asked.

"This is why I don't want to even go there. We have one beautiful--" Mallory glared at West, "Two beautiful wolves and who knows if something could happen to them?"

I bit my lip. "Let's just have me and Ryan go then." West shot a glance at me. "It's obvious. If they lay a hand on me you'll go full Alpha mode. Ryan knows how to handle things and he can be as cool as a cucumber but can defend me, though I am most sure of handling things."

My mate still looked shocked, "Why? Why do you want to go?"

"I can handle things! It started with our pack and if Mallory goes with one of you they could hurt her too."

Mal rolled her eyes. "I can fight too you know, Isla."

"I know, I know. I think this is for the better though."

She sucked in a breath then let it out and nodded. Everyone bumped fists and walked out to the car, not before hugging Rosemary.

"Thank you so much for taking care of us. You have no idea how much it helped." I whispered to her.

"No, thank you for believing in our pack of all packs. I know it's gotten a bad name because of what Ozzy did, but I helped him and I want to help you too. Your mate is very handsome, I wouldn't leave him for anything."

"West? But...but how did you know?"

"Please darling, anyone with an eye can see how much he loves you." I blushed. Many people had been saying that lately. "Go, sweetie, I know it's a busy time for you, but something is holding you back. If you feel the same, show him that feeling." With that, she gave me a slight push and I followed everyone back.
