"Wow, you're kidding right?"

I shook my head as I pulled my hair up into a ponytail. We were seated in Lance's office room, the Alpha of the MoonStone pack. Just like his mansion, it was also flashy here too. Everything was technology innovated. When he asked us if we wanted something to drink, he just talked to his robot, A.S.I.A, and she rolled back, literally rolled on wheels, with them.

"So what are you suggesting we do?" Lance asked, leaning back in his black leather chair.

"Well, we decided that we would go around to each of the packs and clan together. I think I mentioned it but the Moon Goddess is in incredible danger. Who knows, if something goes wrong with her...what would happen to all of werewolf history? To us?" I said, drumming my fingers on the wooden table.

"But if we gathered all the packs what would we do? This war sounds bigger than just the valley packs."

I sighed and got up. "This is where she comes in." I walked to Mallory's seat and she looked down, quietly.

"Little Mal-Mal? What will she do?" Ryan glared at Lance's nickname and put his arm over her shoulders.

"She spoke with the Goddess. Well, more like the Moon Goddess communicated with her."

Lance spat out his Coke and his eyes widened into saucers. He almost jumped out of his seat. "Really?! Did she mention us?! What did she look like?! Was she hot?! What was her cup size!?"

Mallory looked mortified at all the junk that this ridiculous Alpha was spewing out of his mouth. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ariel in the trees, aiming her arrow at Lance. I quickly waved my arms, mouthing 'no' at her. She got the signal and lowered her bow.

"What the heck man?" West pushed Lance away from Mallory. "The Moon Goddess is in danger."

"She was in chains!" Mal yelled. "Our Goddess was in chains, Lance! Don't you see it?! If someone that horrible could kidnap her, how long do you think we'll last?"

Immediately, that stopped him. "The moon that we howl at in celebration of her....will that soon just be a memory?" She whispered. The room got quiet, drinking that information in. We always relied on our Moon Goddess. Now she was relying on her creation of the wolves.

"You're right. I'm sorry Little Mal-Mal. You can count on the MoonStone Pack. I'll gather my best warriors and all of our pack will fight." Lance said, breaking the silence after a while.

She smiled. "Thank you."

"It would be nice if you took the Eastern side of the valley and asked those packs to help out," I said, eagerly.

"Of course, beautiful. Only for you--" Lance abruptly stopped when he felt West's looming figure behind him.

"Oh right, I forgot to tell you, the Dark Moon Alpha's my mate!" I smirked at Lance's pale figure.

"I-I mean only for you all! Hey, man, I never take any girl who's already taken. It's just not my thing..." He nervously chuckled. "Anyway, I'll have the maid show you the rooms available. See you in the morning!" With that, he dashed off.

I laughed and picked up my bag as we headed to the hallway. "You know, you didn't have to scare him that much. He is helping us after all."

"He was flirting with you way too much. Also, he asked you to hook up with him!? I should've destroyed him while I had the chance." West grumbled when the maid led us to a suite.

"I didn't agree...in fact, I kneed him in the groin," I said, opening the curtains to the window.

"But still!"

I smiled to myself at his cute jealousy and opened the window, giving a sharp whistle. Ariella came out, covered in leaves.

"You wanna sleep here?" I asked.

"Nah, I don't do huge rooms. Though, I would not mind taking a bath. I'd love to see what their bathrooms look like." She jumped in. "Dang, even their floors have like, three layers of carpet. They are so fluffy. Rich people, I tell ya." Then, she closed the bathroom door.

I chuckled and spun around. I was in awe of the huge glass chandelier that was hanging on the ceiling. The room was gorgeous. I ran and jumped on the bed, almost sinking into the incredibly soft mattress. The covers matched the walls, red velvet that was probably intricately woven.

Suddenly my breath was taken away when West got on top of me as he pinned me down to the sheets.

"What are you doing?" I said, looking up into his dark eyes. His eyes were like the shade of the richest soil you could ever lay your hands on. They were so black, it was as if a million stars could be in them. Finally, I knew what had caught my eye the first time I saw him. Though it was barely visible, his black eyes were outlined with a shade of blue-green.

My face leaned closer to his to get a better look at them when I heard him suck in a breath. Just like my oblivious self, only then did I realize we were extremely close. If either of us leaned in a bit more, we would kiss.

"Isla..." West whispered.

As soon as we were about to close the distance, the bathroom door slammed open and Ariel strutted out, whistling. "Y'all their bath is amazing..." She paused for a second and looked at us for a moment. "Alright, well, sorry to disrupt. Continue." With that, she jumped out the window, leaving us in this now awkward position.

"Um..." I tucked a curl over my ear and he sighed and got off and lay next to me.

"Stupid Red. She can never come in quietly, always with a great entrance. I keep forgetting she takes three-minute baths." He groaned. "I'll tell you what though, I'll make all your firsts wonderful. They might not be with silk pillows or mansions, but it'll definitely be beyond your imagination." He then kissed my hand

With my own burst of confidence, I kissed his cheek swiftly. "Yours too," I whispered in his ear. "I promise. And my promises to you will never, ever, break."

I saw Mr. Alpha's face turn a slight rosy pink. "Are you blushing?!" I teased.

"No! Maybe. Dammit, Miss Alpha, you are gonna be the death of me." He laughed as he ran his hand through his messy hair.

I chuckled. "So, your eyes are different..." I said, getting straight to the subject.

"Yeah?" West sighed. "They always were a little weird."

"I mean, I'm weird too. It's not a bad thing. In fact, I kind of found them beautiful." I said quietly.

He smiled at me. For the first time, I actually saw him really smile. His eyes lit up as if he really...loved me. Dang, if only Ariel hadn't ruined our moment. I really wanted him.

"Just go for it!!" Felicia whispered.

"Our moment ended!" I responded.

"Then bring it back!" She started to put unnecessary images in my head which caused my cheeks to heat up.

"So, dinner?" I laughed nervously.

"Of course." West winked.
