I just finished editing a video. It's a hard topic for me. It's all about my past and why I was adopted. I just had to make sure it's easy to understand and I'm not crying the entire time.
I look at the time and realize that I need to hurry so I'm not late to catch the plane so I can get to vidcon.
"Love! I finished packing for you." Ruby calls upstairs to me. I save the video and hurry down the stairs where my lovely partner and daughter are sitting at the table.
"Are you sure I cant come with you (y/n)? I have a babysitter on speed dial and they are more than happy to care for our pets too." Ruby rubs my arms gently with a smile on their face.
"Ru.... you need to be here with Saphy! She's never been without us since she was adopted." I kiss the little six year old girls cheeks.
"Right... I just am worried... you get those terrible cough attacks and you know Jupiter gets grumpy without you here." They pout.
"I know I know. It's just I have a panel and I have a trip to my cousins... I'll be back at the end of the month. Stay safe love." I kiss Ruby's cheek.
"I love you. And call me if anything happens. I don't want you to get hurt." Ruby gives me a long lingering kiss, which Sapphire gags at.
"Goodbye my princess. And goodbye RuRu, enjoy sleeping alone." I kiss the two once more before hurrying out the door to not miss the bus.
