What happened to 'best friends,'
You promised you would never leave my side.
You taught me everything ends,
I guess it had to die sometime.
But darling, where did you go?
Where's that sweet guy,
That I used to know?
Is he living a lie?
You said you'd always be there and I said the same.
I'm still following through,
But I'm losing your game.
Only because you know I love you.
Where did you go?
Is your love treating you well?
Are you that lost, do you really not know?
Her love is nothing but hell.
I see her with other guys,
When you aren't there.
I see it all the time.
I only told you because I care.
Josh, please, I need you now.
Where did you go, why did you leave?
Did you ever stop to learn how,
How to breathe?
You're rushing it when you don't know her,
I know how she is, and how you are.
If you stay with her, you'll only get hurt.
She'll burn out the last perfect star.
You know I'm not bulletproof.
But I'd be willing to swallow a knife.
Take a bullet, just for you.
For you, I'd end a life.
But Josh, where did you go?
Why did you leave?
Darling let me know,
I promise I'll believe.
You were my first friend,
Over a pair or stockings or whatever they're called.
I hate that this had to end.
That for you I had to fall.
Please, don't leave me here,
You're the only reason I survive.
