Summary:Phoenix decides to host a birthday party for a certain friend of his he's known since elementary school. What Apollo doesn't know is that this so called friend is Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth from the High Prosecution's Office.
Apollo was cleaning the office, getting ready for closing. It was a simple task or at least supposed to be. Considering how cluttered the office was at the Wright Anything Agency, it was hard to keep track where everything was supposed to go. At least at the Gavin Law Offices, everything was simple and tidy. All it took was just some organization, spot wiping and watering the plants. With the Wright Anything Agency, Apollo had to place all the magic stuff in their right places, organize documents, clean the toilet (Phoenix was picky about that), wash the coffeemaker, wash the kettle, water Charley the plant, pick up anything off the floor Trucy left, vacuum and wipe the windows. It was a miracle that Apollo got any clients at all.
Regardless, Apollo knew he shouldn't complain. His boss was the one that offered him a job, after his previous boss was arrested for murder that eventually turned into two murders. Also, this was Phoenix Wright, Apollo's beloved idol. Sure, Phoenix wasn't the heroic Defense Attorney Apollo imagined in his head during High School. If anything, Phoenix was the opposite of someone that was a professional Defense Attorney. Though, even Apollo couldn't deny that his boss did have a kind heart and did become a Defense Attorney to save those indict under false charges. He just was more than Apollo bargained for. He'd also be lying if he said that he didn't feel more at home in the Wright Anything Agency than the Gavin Law Offices.
While vacuuming, Apollo heard the door opening, assuming it was rather Phoenix or Trucy. He finished vacuuming over by the window before turning it off, then began wrapping the cord. Considering that the person in question didn't speak yet, he assumed it was probably Phoenix.
"You're doing a good job here, Apollo. It's been a while since I've come to a clean office everyday," Phoenix said.
"Well, someone's gotta keep a clean office, especially since this agency is going to include a law firm," Apollo said proudly, crossing his arms.
"That's true. Did you remember to clean the toilet?"
"Yes. I clean it as you instructed," Apollo replied, trying not to complain.
"That's great! A friend of mine is going to be coming here tomorrow from Germany for his birthday and I'll be hosting the party at his office," Phoenix announced.
"Wait, a friend from Germany? I thought Kristoph was the only friend you had, since... you know..."
"Did I?" Phoenix asked, looking over to the right side.
"Well, that's what it seemed like. Maybe I misheard you?" Apollo replied, feeling really confused.
"Well, your former boss was the only one to help me in proving my innocence or so he claims, but I did have other friends."
"Ah, but why didn't they help?"
"They couldn't. Maya and Pearl were spirit mediums at the Kurain Village at the time, Larry was who knows where, Detective Gumshoe was fired, Ema was studying abroad and..."
