You and Tanjirou heard the squawks of your crows. They seemed to have no trouble in finding where you were. The sunrise didn't seem to stop them either. You, on the other hand, were super tired. Sure, you've been up late before, but that was only until 2 am or something. Right now, you were just trying to get through the day half asleep.

"Your next mission is Asakusa, Tokyo," both you and Tanjirou's birds said. "Rumors of a demon lurking around."

"Another mission already?" you asked. "We just got done with our last one."

"Yes you are going! Now stop complaining," your crow said.

"Can we at least get a breather?"

"No."

You groaned, slumping your shoulders and continuing to walk. Tanjirou just smiled at you. "I'm sure it's not that far," he said. You wondered how he could still be functioning right now.

By the time you got to Asakusa, it was nighttime. It was pretty big, and lights were everywhere. The city kind of reminded you of New York. You felt nostalgic by just looking at it. Lanterns showed up left an right as you walked down the busy streets. There were merchants advertising their products to passerby. Everything was bright even though electricity wasn't being used. You wondered what kinds of things would be in history museums in the future. At least you could say you were a part of it when you see them once you get back.

"It's really crowded," Tanjirou said from behind you. He was dragging behind while holding Nezuko's hand. Both of them looked a little uncomfortable. There were tons of people around too, even though it was nighttime. Most likely, demon facts were more underground here. It was unlike Tsuki's village. Demons were common knowledge.

You grabbed your friend's hand. "Come on, I'll lead us somewhere less crowded," you said.

With that, you were searching around the place. You kept checking behind, occasionally, to see if Tanjirou and Nezuko were still there. The demon girl would doze off every now and then. That still didn't stop you from looking at everything with sheer wonder. You felt like you were in a fantasy land for some reason. It wasn't until you got onto an open road, that the crowds drifted away from you three. The open sky showed up a little more. No stars were there at all. Nighttime felt a little empty to you. You saw the moon in its waxing crescent stage. It would definitely be first quarter by tomorrow. You slowly let go of Tanjirou's hand as you stared at the sky.

"There's a food cart up ahead," Tanjirou caught your attention when he said that. He was pointing to a small wooden cart on the edge of the road. The cart looked like it was serving udon. Tanrjirou looked a little shaken up by the crowds in the city. 'He's not much of a city kid is he,' you thought. You stepped forward a little bit, gesturing your two friends to follow you. The redhead perked up and led Nezuko towards the cart.

The three of you saw an older man working at the udon cart. Tanjirou was the first to go up to him. He was still in his 'dead inside,' state from earlier. You held in a chuckle. "Excuse me?" he said. "Two bowls of udon please." The man nodded and got to making the dishes.

An empty bench was available for the three of you to sit on. Nezuko sat in the middle of you and Tanjirou. The redhead was still spacing out. "You okay man?" you asked. "You've been spaced out for awhile now."

"I'm fine," Tanjirou said. "It's just that I've never been to a place like this before. It was so crowded." He then looked at you with curious eyes. At least he wasn't all weird anymore. "How'd you get us here so quickly?" he asked.

You tapped your fingers against each other. "Uhh, I lived in big cities my whole life," you said sheepishly. "I was born and raised in New York. Then my dad moved me and my sister to Japan."
