Bright light from the sun just about blinded you as you got out of the mansion. You were holding Teruko's small hand while shielding your eyes a little bit. Tanjirou was carrying Teruko's brother, Kiyoshi, on his back. For some reason, the redhead was in a hurry to get out of the house. 'Did he smell something?' you thought. It was the only reason he'd move in that amount of haste, other than a demon showing up out of nowhere. You were hearing someone getting kicked and the yelling of a voice you didn't recognize.
When your eyes adjusted, you saw a boy about your age in a boar mask. He had a bulky body and nichirin swords in his hands. You then saw Zenitsu, holding Nezuko's box. He had a black eye and blood was streaming from his nose. Shoichi was a couple feet away, watching everything unravel. You covered your mouth at the sight. You shouldn't have left them. Then they wouldn't have to deal with this boar masked boy on their own.
"Tanjirou," Zenitsu wheezed. "I protected it. You said it was more important than your life." He sounded like he was in so much pain right now. If only your feet could just move. If only you didn't have to keep your powers a secret. You felt your eyes start to water, but you shut them tight and lowered your head. 'I can't have anyone see me like this,' you thought.
"Knock it off," Tanjirou gritted his teeth. Seeing his younger sister in the threat of danger must've got him going. The redhead put down Kiyoshi and leaped from where he was. "Knock it off!" he shouted. When he got close to the boy in the boar head, he puled back a fist and aimed it for the boar's stomach. The punch landed at full force. You could've sworn you heard the crushing of bones.
The boar headed boy was knocked back and onto the ground. His two jagged swords were next to him on the dirt. He was far enough away that you could get to the box. From far away, it looked like it wasn't touched. Although, Nezuko could've been stabbed somewhere. You ran over to where Zenitsu was. Teruko and Kiyoshi were right behind you, running to Shoichi. When you got to the two boys, you knelt on the dirt. You didn't hesitate to take the box from Zenitsu. The box seemed to be in perfect condition. You sighed in relief.
You then looked over at Zenitsu and Shoichi. "I'm sorry for leaving you guys behind," you said solemnly. "I didn't know someone would attack you and the box."
The yellow haired boy waved his hands in front of him. A sheepish smile was on his face. "It was nothing really," he said. Your eyes went wide when you saw him acting so nervous. There was a slight redness to his face. However, it didn't seem to do with his beaten face.
"Aren't you a member of the Demon Slayer Corps?!" Tanjirou yelled at the boy in the boar mask. "Don't you get why Zenitsu won't draw out his sword?! It's taboo for us to fight for no reason! But you're giving him a one-sided beatdown. You're the lowest of low."
The dual wielding demon slayer got up from the ground. "Oh, my bad," he said. "Let's fight barehanded." You couldn't believe what he was saying. Tanjirou had given him broken bones, yet he wants to fight.
The redhead raised a hand sheepishly. "I don't think you get it," he said. "We're not supposed to fight period." The other demon slayer didn't listen to his words. Instead, he headed strait for him again. Tanjirou dodged the punches that were getting thrown at him. "Barehanded fighting isn't right either. Listen to me," he tried to get the boar masked boy to calm down. He was moving with a lot of flexibility. Tanjirou almost couldn't keep up.
'How is he moving like that?' you thought. Shoichi was wiping Zenitsu's face while watching the fight. You knew you should be trying to help your friend. But, what could you do right now. Healing wouldn't work mid-battle. Especially with an opponent that's moving like a wild animal. You still haven't recovered from your gravity control side effects either. In fact, you felt like you were gonna vomit while running towards Zenitsu.
