Zenitsu couldn't sleep. Though it wasn't because of Inosuke's blatant snoring. There was something else he was hearing. It came from another part of the estate. He could hear the sound of sniffling and hiccups. They were yours. He could tell because everyone else was asleep. Plus, when he sat up, you weren't in the bed next to him. He also heard the sound of a cup hitting the ground multiple times. What was happening? Zenitsu pulled off the covers, and got up. Making sure not to wake up his two other friends. He was surprised that they were still sleeping.
The sound of the creaking floors echoed through the estate. Zenitsu's knees were shaking. Your cries were getting louder. He heard you hyperventilating too. It only made him more fearful. The thumping of cups were also getting louder as well. Everything the yellow haired boy was hearing told him that he was getting closer.
By the time the sounds were loudest, Zenitsu knew that he was there. The lights were off in the room you were in. Multiple items were in the center of the room. Cups, books, even a flower pot. They all looked to have been pulled there by gravity's force. It was one of the abilities you told him and the other boys about. Behind the collection of items, was you. You were staring right at him. He could see a strange light reflecting in your eyes. It wasn't coming from any sort of light outside. When you blinked, it was gone. You were shaking.
Zenitsu tried to step closer, but you said something he couldn't understand. It must've been in English. You backed away from him, still hyperventilating. He wondered if he should just wake up Tanjirou. The redhead was way better at comforting someone than he would ever be. Still, Zenitsu didn't want to wake anyone else up. His legs started to shake as he got closer to you. You had gotten further away from him. The two of you were the same distance of each other as before. Zenitsu looked down at the trinkets you've collected. A piece was broken off of one of them, and was floating.
The same pattern of moving closer and further away went on until you hit the back wall. The sound of it made Zenitsu stop. He saw that you were shaking even more. It looked like you weren't thinking in this moment. It was also the moment Zenitsu figured out how to calm you down. He remembered what you said.
You actually remind me a lot of my dad Zenitsu.
At first, he thought the comment was weird. Now, he's taken that to heart. Your father was one the most important people in your life. Why wouldn't he be? He was your father. Zenitsu decided to act a little more like him. His theory was that you'd go back to being normal. Or at least you'd recognize him. He got down on his knees and put out his shaking arms. A glimmer of hope was resounding inside him. Maybe this would work. He could see the slight change in your expression. It looked more relaxed than fearful.
"(Y/N), it's just me," Zenitsu said. He made sure that his voice was a little calmer than usual. A minute went by. You still weren't saying anything. However, Zenitsu could hear that you weren't hyperventilating anymore. Then he felt your head rest on his chest. His heart started to beat at a mile a minute. He couldn't tell which one of you was shaking. For a second, he couldn't remember what thus feeling in his chest was. But Zenitsu dismissed it as a simple crush. He would soon get over it, or so he thought.
Once you were completely calm, Zenitsu helped you stand. He gingerly lead you back to the room. Noticing that you were exhausted. It was unlike earlier, when random objects would float or be squished when they shouldn't be. Soon enough, you were out like a like, Zenitsu as well. And when the both of you woke up, he asked you what happened to make you panic. However, he was surprised when you said that you didn't remember anything from last night.
Kocho was currently giving you a final checkup before you would leave the estate. After mastering total concentration constant with the boys, you felt as though you could control things a little better. Apart from last night, which you never remembered. Zenitsu said you were freaking out an hyperventilating. Random things were in the center of the room because of your powers as well. You were almost creeped out by yourself for being able to do that. Maybe your abilities were more wild than you thought.
