'hueningkai~ bring the coffee to grandad's room!'
i walked to the counter and took grandad's coffee mug. this mug was like a treasure to him. dad once accidentally used it, and got a slap on the cheek by grandad.
i walked upstairs and knocked on his door, expecting to see him in his white tanktop and knee-length flappy shorts, but to my suprise, the door didn't open. he wouldn't be asleep. he wakes up early in the morning, sometimes even making breakfast at 4 am.
the door wasn't locked, so i went in, but he still wasn't there. i left the mug on his desk and went downstairs again.
'mom, he isn't there.'
'oh. he might have gone for a walk.'
after my morning shift, i went upstairs to do a few essays. a few minutes in my work, our group chat started flooding with messages.

i made my phone silent to stop hearing taehyun and beomgyu bicker like an old married couple. it was a little too bright for me to do my work without squinting my eyes every second, so i stood up to close the curtains when i spot yuna, right outside the store, painting the walls again. but there was someone else with her.
