"are you sure you've brought everything you need?" yuna's mother watched as her daughter gently take out the suitcase from the taxi. it was early, before dawn broke when yuna and her mother arrives ar the port.
"mom, i'm not going on a trip around the world. i'll be back before you know it." yuna reassured to her tense mother.
"alright, alright." her mother said. yuna closed the trunk, looking straight into her mother's eyes. "bye eomma~" yuna waved, stepping backwards to the pavement. remembering something, her mother hurriedly opened the door, taking out one of her beach straw hats.
her mother ran after her, and spun her daughter around. she placed the hat onto her head, fitting it perfectly. "i forgot to give you this," her mother squeezed her cheeks, "okay. now you're ready to go. for real." she chuckled. yuna waved once again and joined the line for students ready to board the ferry.

yuna entered the 2nd floor, to find chaeryeong and yeji. it took some time for lia to fully convince yuna on taking the trip. lia promised to keep her away from hueningkai for the entire trip, but she was traveling by plane, only because her parents insisted to, along with ryujin. ryujin claimed she wanted to sleep the entire flight.
yeji waved at yuna, allowing her to identify their seats. she walks over to them. the seats were perfect for the three of them, and yuna sat on the edge faced to the aisle. "how are you guys doing here?" yuna asked.
"i decided to go by ferry to supervise all of us. they can't fool around in a plane, but they definitely can in a private ferry." yeji observed the boys who were snoring in the back aisle. "so far, nothing threatening is happening." yeji sighs in relief.
"yeji-ya~ you should unwind. we can take some pictures in the upper deck later on. it's too crowded at the moment, and i'm afraid our hats might fly off, judging the wind at the moment. especially..yuna." chaeryeong snickered at her floppy hat.
"i know. my mom gave it to me last minute. it covers up a lot, at least." yuna chuckled. "well, i'm going to take a nap. i hate getting up so early." chaeryeong said, putting in her airpods. in an instant, she fell asleep. yeji allowed her head to fall into her shoulder. "won't you have not enough space, unnie?" yuna looked at the tight leg space the girls had.
"it's no biggie. i'll keep watch of her. didn't you want to go upstairs?" yeji reminded. "oh- right! i'll get going. i'll see you soon!" yuna grinned.
yuna skipped her way upstairs, her camera tighly grasped in her hands. she promised to bring back photographs of the break of dawn for her father's inspiration.
she arrived on the upper deck right when the sun was arising to their vision. she spotted jisung alone, and ran up to him and nudged him by his arm.
"why are you alone? are you having a sentimental moment?" yuna peered over the boat, watching the waves hit the lower deck almost rhythmically. jisung had gotten used to yuna popping up at random times.
"nah. the view's nice. jaemin is in the other side taking some pictures for his instagram." jisung said. he paid attention to her, the corners of his lips quirking up upon seeing her doe eyes fixed upon the water. "have you not went on a boat before?"
"when i was younger, my parents didn't allow me to go to the upper deck since they knew how naughty i was. i've been to beaches, but i always found the waves satisfying to watch." she grinned, thinking back at the memory, "only if you knew how much of a rascal i was. i got into fights every now and then." she said.
"fiesty." jisung chuckled. "you can call it that way." yuna said. he glanced at her, his pupils almost increasing in size. "but, i wouldn't mind knowing you sooner." a smile was now plastered onto his face.
yuna couldn't have eye contact with him after what he just said. she forced herself to look at her shoes, feeling her cheeks heat up in that second. it wasn't even a compliment.. yuna thinks, or was it?
hueningkai arrived on the upper deck, 2 coca colas in his hands. he observed the crowd, looking for soobin, but his eyes fell upon yuna and jisung. jisung's eyes were fixed upon the girl.
the fists around the cans started to clench, and he couldn't help but almost crinkle his nose at the sight. his body forced him to move forward, but he stopped when soobin appeared at his side.
"thanks! whatcha looking at?" soobin noticed hueningkai's displeasure. hueningkai didn't answer for awhile: he was in trance, noticing jisung who couldn't stop smiling.
soobin looked at his direction, also noticing the two talking alone. "nothing. let's go back down." hueningkai grabbed soobin's hand, pulling him to the stairs. "wait, we just got here! is it about the girl talking to jisung?" soobin complained. it was unusual for him to see hueningkai so flustered and.. irritated. "no." hueningkai
jealous. he's just jealous.. soobin realizes.
"if you say so." soobin utters. the two returned to the lower deck, finding taehyun and beomgyu having a round of poker. taehyun laid down 5 cards, and beomgyu shrieked in regret. "ROYAL FLUSH!" taehyun bellowed. the students in the surrounding seats shushed him, and he bowed in embarrassment.
"i call hacks." beomgyu scoffed. "this is a physical game. just admit you suck in every card game we've played." taehyun stuck out his tounge. soobin sat in-between them, preventing them from throwing hands at each other. "whatever. anyways, where have you been kai?" beomgyu glanced at hueningkai, who seemed to be in another world.
hueningkai, who just realized that all of his hyungs were looking at him, snapped out of his thoughts. "oh yeah. definitely, gyubeom-"
"ahem." soobin scoffed. "what?" hueningkai perks. "is it something about yuna?" taehyun asks. "i thought of the same thing. is she bothering you? i can talk to her if you've liked-" soobin starts, but hueningkai cuts him off.
"no! i meant- it's not about her. and she's not bothering me at all, don't worry about it." hueningkai scratched the nape of his neck. "if you say so." soobin says.
hueningkai took his seat back on the edge, slightly reclining his seat. it was the first time he lied to his hyungs, and he couldn't stop the dreadful feeling taking over his body.
this is going to be harder then i thought.
