"miss? you haven't paid."

yuna realized where she was and what she was doing, after looking at the money in her hands. she handed it over to the cashier, taking the groceries and thanking him.

she rubbed her eyes, adjusting to the bright sunny morning. something she hasn't been used to nowadays after staying in bed for so long.

a lot of things were on her mind. what happened on the last day of the trip, and the truth on who brought in the alcohol.

deok-su and illsung. nonetheless, she wasn't suprised at the 2 infamous rascals. but to bring in and steal the money of the transfer student? they had no sense of mind. she was glad they got punished.

she stayed in the entrance of the grocery shop maybe a little too long. she enjoyed the warmth of the sun, simply standing idly. her phone rang in her pockets. she picked it up.

"who is this?"

"hi, it's wonyoung." she recognized her voice in an instant. she cleared her throat, hiding her suprise. "..what's up?"

"wait, look to your right." wonyoung said. yuna turnt over, spotting the girl who had her phone to her ears. she ended the call.

yuna forced her lips to quirk for a brief moment, before taking her leave. wonyoung ran after her, her heels clicking, which showed yuna that she was right behind her, so yuna walked just a little quicker, but wonyoung caught her wrist.

she met her eyes. "look, i know we've never been good friends," she let go of her wrist, fearing it might intimidate her, "but let me talk for awhile. maybe a place where there isn't a lot of people, if you're okay with it."

yuna wanted to hear what she had to say, so she nodded. they walked to an alleyway between a laundromat and the grocery store. yuna leaned back, resting her back on the rocky wall.

she examined wonyoung. she played with her fingers and did not lean back. there was silence, but yuna allowed it, assuming she was still finding the words to speak.

"i think you know by now, that i lied to you. and hueningkai." yuna followed along, a "mmm" sound coming out of her lips. "i'm really sorry for that. i know it's not unlike me to apologize first, but i felt especially more guilty after seeing what went down a few days ago, because after all, i'm still his friend, and i care about him."

"so you don't care about me?" yuna asked.

"its not like that! i was jealous. you had the confidence to do those silly magic tricks in front of him and speak of your feelings, but i couldn't do a single thing in front of him because i was really timid." she looked down on her heels even further, hiding her burning cheeks.

"okay.." yuna murmured. she was understanding of what she was trying to say, but she still was keeping her guard up.

"its gonna be weird to say this," wonyoung exclaimed, "but i want to be friends with you again. step by step. one by one. to make up for what i've done."

yuna's heartstrings loosened hearing what she just said. she already thought that maybe she too herself was too immature, after all, they were young. she had her own faults too. neither were correct. and after all those years, she grinned, just a little, at her old friend.

"you're not the only one at fault, wonyoung." yuna began. wonyoung looked at yuna in astonishment, believing that yuna didn't have anything to say about this matter.

"maybe i was a little overconfident?.. being confident, like you said, is of course a good thing," yuna nervously laughed at herself, gesturing what she was saying with ber hands. "but i was invading his personal space. no wonder i scared that poor boy.. i don't understand why he tried to kiss me that night."

"it was wrong." wonyoung claimed. "hahah, yeah," yuna replied with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood, "but feelings are fun, y'know. it's giddy and fun at first but it can be so exhausting at times. everyone feels that. i don't understand what he was feeling. i didn't understand what i was feeling either. i wanted to kiss him back but that felt wrong. we aren't proper friends anyway."

yuna realized she was getting herself carried away, when she felt a tear drop on her fingers, she looked at her palm, and it made her even more emotional.

"no.. don't cry, i'll cry too!" wonyoung laughed, water starting to form in her eyes too. "i'm.. not," yuna rubbed her eyes, "i got my emotions get the best of me."

"oh, i've got to go. i told my driver to wait, i'm heading back home." she patted her back, which alarmed yuna at first. "sorry did i scare you?"

"yea, you just never do that." yuna mumbles, "well, i'm a new person now. i'll get going, bye!"

wonyoung left before yuna could say the same back to her, so she only waved at her. she touched her shoulder again, thinking back to the times she learned silly magic tricks to impress hueningkai in the talent show.

she smiled into her palms, thrilled that she finally talked to her old best friend once again.

"so, how long are you grounded?" yeonjun asked. hueningkai leaned back on his office chair, staring at his four hyungs on skype. "a week. they're generous."

"but seriously, what were you thinking?" taehyun placed his elbows on his desk, palming his forehead. "yea, what were you thinking?" beomgyu followed along.

"i don't know. but now you all know that i suddenly like her." he squealed, his ears turning almost as red as taehyun's hair.

"no, we figured." soobin laughed.

"huh?"

"you think we don't know anything about you?" yeonjun chided. "even yeonjun knows?!" hueningkai sighs. "duh, he's our dad. we report everything to him." beomgyu remarked.

"we didn't know how to talk to you about it. you never opened up to us about it, so we just watched." taehyun says. "yeah, sorry about that.." hueningkai forced a smile.

"so, what should i do to say sorry?" hueningkai pleads. "talk to her. not through texts, better if you say it to her face," yeonjun advices, "make sure not to spit on her though." beomgyu adds. "this guy.." taehyun sighs into his microphone.

"she'll think of it too. it should be on her mind. wait for a week and just go for it." soobin says. "there's no better way to phrase it. basically.. you're on your own!"

"nice." hueningkai panicked.

"calm down," yeonjun says, "she'll listen to you. probably. i don't know. let's hope." "you're absolutely right." soobin replied. they high fived each other through the screen.

"you guys give the best advice."

"we know." they all chorused.
