"is the prom still ongoing even after the alcohol thing?" lia turnt, looking at yeji. "it won't be cancelled. i figure we'll just check everyone's belongings tonight." the girls were worn out from chasing each other around, so they spread a blanket and lied down on it. the sun had just began to set, and they admired the beautiful colors that covered the sky in silence, until yuna broke it.
"it could be just some rumors to stir tension though.." yuna sighs. it wasn't unusual that a lot of students liked to stir up drama, but why do so in a time like this? they just wanted to have fun before the seniors would leave for college.
"just to make sure. we're minors," yeji said. "i'll protect our maknae." yuna pouted, her cheeks flushing a light pink. "hey! i'm not the only minor here."
"who even brought up the news anyways?" chaeryeong asks. "zhong chenle. apparently he said that he saw a couple of guys bring in a lot of soju." "well.. why didn't he mention names? he must've saw at least one."
"maybe he has his own reasons. he gets picked on often, that's one thing." ryujin adds in. "all of this is happening in the worst time ever.." lia sighs, fainting onto yeji's lap dramatically.
"don't fret. they're gonna check everyone out!" yeji reassured her, patting her head, but ryujin misinterpreted what she said. "they're not here to check out some chicks, right?" she snickers. "aish, i didn't mean it like that!" the girls made inhumane sounds simply with their laughter.
"i'm already hungry." yuna drew circles on her belly. "same.. what are they preparing for the buffet, yeji?" ryujin asks. "i don't know too. i'm as hungry as you are, but i'm saving my belly for dinner." yeji smirked. "we won't be able to dance~" lia shook her shoulders. "i'll force you! all of you!" yeji laughs out loud. it has been some time they've heard yeji laugh out loud, and it made them as giddy as ever.
yuna watched the rest of her friends bicker and chat like they were alone in the world, being in the edge of the blanket. she really shouldn't get upset over one guy; she had 4 friends to have fun with.
prom. oh, she was just starting to get excited. it was her first proper one. dressing up and going with a boy.. yeah no. but it wasn't so bad! there were other things to enjoy. the music, the dance, and especially the food.
"ooh, it's getting dark." lia cooed. and it was true. the sun has almost completely sunk and the girls leaned on each other like domino stacks. it was a peace of mind for everyone, simply laying on the soft sand while they adore the true beauty of the skies.
"c'mon. we should get ready." yeji stood up first, and gave a hand for lia to get up too. chaeryeong and ryujin followed, but only yuna remained on the blanket. "you're not getting ready earlier, yuna?"
"i'll catch up with you guys later." yuna didn't take her eyes off the scenery in front of her. dad would love it.
"okay." yeji said. the girls left earlier. ryujin peered back at yuna, then chuckles under her breath. "what are you laughing about?" chaeryeong asks. "i guess it's a shin family thing to always drool over sceneries." ryujin said.
"huh? you're a shin too." lia remarks, cocking her eyebrows.
they all laughed, and lia could only shrug in annoyance. "me and yuna are vastly different from each other. remember that, jisu."
