chapter eleven

[hueningkai's p.o.v.]

the bus comes to a halt, and we exit, paying the driver by card. i was walking when wonyoung rushes up to me, making me jump in shock.

'are you alright?' i ask as she pants.

'i'm fine. have you eaten?'

'i didn't. i overslept, i had to catch the last bus.'

she takes out a zipped plastic bag of almonds and hands it to me.

'have some.'

'thanks.' i say, taking the bag.

we walked to school together, and i could tell she didn't know the way very well. she goes to school with her driver.

'hueningkai, are you free after school?'

'no. i have academy with beomgyu and taehyun.'

'aww.. can't you skip it for once? it's your way of saying thank you for the almonds.'

we passed the gates, and i finish the bag of almonds, dumping it in a trash bin.

'i'll see.' i sigh.

'great!' she smiles.

[timeskip]

'i think i dozed off.' beomgyu says.

'you did.' both taehyun and i say.

'i'm suprised mr. yoo didn't even scold you.'

'he gave up on me.' beomgyu grins.

'tssk.' taehyun says under his breath.

just as we were about to leave campus, wonyoung appears out of nowhere.

'have you made up your mind?' she asks.

'i don't think we can go.'

'go where?' taehyun asks.

'to lotte world!' wonyoung says.

lotte world wasn't so far, but it felt rushed since she just told us about it right now. i've been there a few times when i was younger, but cried after riding the roller coaster. lea made fun of me and i swore to never return.

'lotte world?! can we go, please?' beomgyu clings onto taehyun like he was his mother.

'well-'

just before taehyun could say anything about this, his phone rings. he checks his chats and shuts down his phone again, placing it back on his pocket.

'the tutor couldn't come today. no tutor are willing to fill in today too. i guess we can come.'

'great!' beomgyu exclaims.

wonyoung turns back to me.

'so, you're in?'

i glanced back at beomgyu and taehyun. we haven't had proper fun for a long time. during the coin karoake last week, we spent most of the time trying to find some way to pay the bill, because hyunjin's credit card got deactivated since his mom found out he was broke from buying too many got7 albums.

and beomgyu has been so bored lately. and it wouldn't hurt going there, right? mom doesn't mind me hanging out once in awhile.

'sure.'
