don't tell me..

"what do you mean your not joining?" yuna almost shouted at hitomi. hitomi chuckles in guilt, scratching the back of her head. "i'm not into water sports. i only said yes because you seemed panicking yesterday but i didn't know what you were talking about.." hitomi soft-heartedly says.

yuna sighs, regaining her composure and patience. "thanks, hitomi. i'll just find someone else, no worries." yuna forced a smile. it was a day after their arrival when they woke up early to visit the forest. upon arrival they were immediately brought to the river, walking in groups of four.

they finally arrived at the plunge pool, the foot of the waterfall. the students feasted their eyes upon the waterfall which towered above them like titans, feeling the water splash onto their skin. the tour guides prepared the rowboats, and the groups lined up. hitomi backed out of the queue. yuna was now alone, drifting awkwardly, trying to find an empty spot.

one of the tour guides caught her hovering around. the woman placed a hand on her shoulder, alarming the girl. "sweetheart, where are your friends?" she politely asked. "oh-- there wasn't any extra seats left." yuna said. the woman grabbed her hand and pulled her without a brute force.

"don't worry. there's just one seat left." and to her luck, the only seat left was on the rear end, right next to hueningkai, beomyu and taehyun. beomgyu had noticed the obvious tension between them, and gladfully swapped seats. now yuna on the front end, with beomgyu on the rear end.

their rowboats were pushed off by the tour guides, who waved. taehyun fiddled with his thumbs, being in between the former acquaintances. he directly felt the off-putting air, and he had trouble rowing because of that. yuna kept herself under cool. it's not a big deal, she muttered to herself.

they continuously rowed in uneasiness. beomgyu felt responsible to fixed the tension, and so when they entered a new area, where the current was stronger, he proposed an idea.

"guys, the current could make the boat shaky. i think we should switch spots." beomgyu chirped. "that's not how currents work.." taehyun sighs.

hueningkai turned to look at the oldwe boy. "what are you up to?" he whispered. "i gotchu fam." beomgyu replied back, avoiding his question.
"yuna, could we switch?" he offered.

"uh.." the corners of her mouth nervously quirked up. no! why are you being indecisive, he's just a stranger! she mentally slapped herself. "s-sure, sure." once they reached a place where the waves were weaker, taehyun threw a rope to a boulder. the rowboat was held by it, and the group flinch forward from the sudden force.

beomgyu and yuna shortly switches seat, hueningkai avoiding as much contact as yuna's legs and she walked to the rear seat at the end of the rowboat. she took a seat, quickly tied her hair, and yelled enthusiastically. "i'm all set!"

she had to be in a better mood. a guy couldn't just upset her like that.

"alright! let's go!" beomgyu ordered. he was now leading the boat. taehyun slipped back the rope and suddenly they were back in the current. strangely, everyone in the boat, excluding hueningkai, were less alerted, being that yuna seemed less worked up.

ya, that wasn't the case for the boy. he was fidgeting as he rotated the oars with a lesser force than before. his legs shuffled, all of his nerves were reacting. did he want to try to talk to her again?

the group reached the more risky and cautious area. they could see specks of their friends from a distance, rowing with all of their effort, just like them. the water began to come at them harshly. beomgyu, being at the front, had to endure the water drops in his eyes.

abruptly, they collided with a boulder in the waves, and the water drenched yuna, almost completely. "ah! are you okay?" hueningkai instantly called out. "what do you think?" a sigh left her mouth.

the boys at the front chuckled at younger two. "yah, do you want to get soaked like me too? after this ends, i would gladfully throw a bucket at you." she threatened. why was it so easy to tick her off?

"do you need a towel?" hueningkai asked. "no.." she said in an undertone. the water was chilly for her, but she refrained from showing any signs. she resisted to chatter her teeth and instead kept her knees together in an effort to decrease the coldness.

"are you sure? i can hear your teeth chattering.."

"i'm fine. don't fret." she averted her eyes to something else other than his back. "you could get a cold." maybe he could poke fun at her.

"i won't." she concluded. finally, the group could see more rowboats, and soon they were entering the end of the river. tour guides and student council assisted the students in exiting the boat.

"you might~" hueningkai sang, finally getting a chance to strike up a conversation with her. he couldn't get to talk to her seriously, so this was the best he could do. "i won't." she almost hissed.

the group reached the deck. beomgyu was the first to leave, taking small steps to avoid imbalance. "for real. you might have to stay in your room for the entire trip."

she had enough.

"can you be quiet for a second?!" she stood up on the spur of the moment. and as expected, the boat suddenly flipped over, taking in poor and innocent (promptly, no, he was the devious) taehyun along with the two.

they shot up out of the surface, shock from their sudden dip. hueningkai gritted his teeth in fear, for yuna was floating around giving deathbed stares to him. he gave a small smile, and she could only fume as beomgyu burst into large fits of laughter.

"i didn't sign up for this.." taehyun sighed under one's breath
