"he sucks. boys sucks. men suck." yuna repeated, drinking the boba tea lia bought.

in times when yuna was down, lia was always a call away, and she came almost immediately when she heard yuna's sobs through her phone, she was already at her doorstep. lia set herself on yuna's bed, watching the younger girl finish the boba tea merely in 3 minutes.

"are you done talking?" lia chuckles. "no, leave me to chat with the demons... can you make me ramyeon?" yuna asks.

"alright." lia says. lia wasn't the best at words, but she was the best at cooking. at least, in the eyes of yuna.

lia, knowing the house like her own, went to the kitchen and took out 2 packets of instant ramen from the cabinets, taking out the noodles and placing them into boiling water. lia opened the fridge, taking out 2 fresh eggs and whisking them each, before frying them in a pan. once everything was cooked, she assembled them all into 2 bowls and made her way back upstairs.

"ramen tastes best when you make it." yuna licks her lips from the sight of the steam evaporating from the noodles. "better than mom's?" lia asks. "well, no. it's merely instant." yuna chuckles for the first time.

"are you calmed down enough to talk about hueningkai now?" lia asks placing her bowl on her lap. yuna looks up from her bowl, slurping noodles before opening her mouth to speak.

"it just feels unfair that he's accusing me for all of those stuff, when it came from wonyoung. you can't trust her.. i don't know what he was thinking. and then i realized maybe he was just too stupid."

"sometimes you have to move on. he's not worthy of you.. if he can't realize how gentle and beautiful you are then he doesn't deserve you. drop him." lia says, glancing at the window.

yuna lifts her head up, her eyes still glinting from the tears she wept for days and days. she's sick of all of this. she longed to be by his side for so long, but now it felt like all her hopes were gone, and now she was simply clouded in anger and regret.

they were never friends, so why would she even think she had a chance? maybe it was her own fault, having been in a delusion for so long, allowing it to consume her fully. and once that dream was gone, she was only stuck with the reality.

no, it isn't her fault. he just didn't deserve her.

"you're right." yuna mumbles, wiping the tears off her eyes with her sleeves.

"that's the spirit!" lia claps like a seal. "you're better of without him. say, have you gotten a dress for prom?" lia's eyesbrows lift, reminding yuna of the upcoming event.

"huh?"

"you know.. the field trip."

"what field trip?"

"THE FIELD TRIP TO JEJU ISLAND YOU FUCKING GRANDMA-" lia's voice raises, which made yuna jump in shock. "OH OH, i forgot we had that. the prom isn't even hosted by the school, so it's not mandatory.."

"yeah, but everyone is going there! it's in a beach club, could you not be that boring?" lia exclaims, raising her hands in exaggeration. yuna scratches the back of her head, in thought of attending the prom. her school didn't have an offical one.. but the student council wanted to replicate one that was similar to the one in the west.

"i guess it wouldn't hurt to go-"

"of course it wouldn't! come on, you need some sunlight after listening to emo music for days."

"but i don't want to.." yuna whines, clutching onto her office chair. "you have to, cause i say so. put this on!" lia slids yuna's closet open, picking a simple oversized jacket to layer her top she used for weeks. "but where are we going?" yuna says, as she catches the jacket lia threw at her. "thrifting. for some clothes for prom, and who knows, maybe just hang out. we haven't hung out after you filled in for chaewon."

after yuna changed into more formidable sweats and a nice jacket, lia drags her outside, forcing yuna to trip on her sandals as she quickly slips onto them, while lia was already running to the bus stop. yuna yelled after her, running right behind her heel.

"yahh! wait for me!"

'unnie.. can i go back home?" yuna slouches behind lia as they walk upon another store. "we can do this another day."

"nuh-uh. this is the rare times you're outside, so i need to make it worth. i promise this one will be the last one, just look how pretty those tees look!"

yuna glanced at the mannequin behind the glass, and it was hard to admit it didn't catch her eyes. the dresses seemed to have a particular glow she couldn't explain: maybe it was the lights above them or the way the models were posed, but she couldn't take her eyes off a red dress that fitted the mannequin's slender and toned body.

they entered the store, and already lia's eyes were already drawn on a two-piece, warm yellow plaid dress. "i got one already." lia whispered to yuna, in which yuna looked at the dress, and gave her a thumbs up.

lia happily took the dress and disappeared into the changing station. not long after, she slid back the curtains, revealing herself perfectly fitted in the dress. it perfectly showed off her petite body, and the heels made her look angelic.

"waahh~ so pretty!" yuna applauses. lia bows, before disappearing back into the station and into her casualwear. "now it's your turn."

the two had previously picked a set of dresses for yuna, and eventhough it all flaunted her body perfectly, yuna was quite picky, being hesitant with each outfit. "i'm not sure about this one.." yuna breathes out, wearing the red dress she previously saw on the mannequin. it was too tight for her, and yuna planned to move around more than often during prom.

"wait, you forgot this one!" lia says, handing yuna a set. it included a white crop top and short, white floral skirt. excitement filled her eyes, and her lips immediately smiled upon seeing it.

yuna happily took the dress, quickly changing into it and into a pair of black boots with heels they picked before. it wasn't the most fancy, but yuna was already attached to it. the dress showed off her broad shoulders and her tall figure, and she could already imagine herself walking into the beach club.

she slid open the curtains, pretending that she was a model, and the first sight she saw was lia's jaw dropping. lia cupped her mouth, almost squealing in delight.

"it's perfect!"
