Chapter Fifty-One: Take off your pants
Before I could stay at the hotel I had to grab a couple of things like a burner phone for starters since the assassin group was tapped into my shit.
When I was about an hour outside of Sunset Valley, I stopped inside a Walmart to pick up a burner phone and called Peter asking him if the plan was going fine.
He told me that by the time he packed a bag and explained everything to Holly, Sydney woke up and was threatening to call the cops.
Once that was all figured out, Peter was on his way and made it to the same Walmart I had bought my burner phones at.
I threw the phone I made the call to Peter on and bought a second one getting the number set up and leaving a note for him with one of the customer service people being sure to cover my tracks.
By the point he finally called me, I was settled in my hotel room under Peter's royal name that I had discovered on a birth certificate Holly had hidden in her office.
I did some snooping the moment she gave me Peter's life story feeling like I had the right to know who I was getting married to.
My phone continued ringing as I came back from the bathroom, knowing it was obviously Peter because no one else had my new number.
"Hey sexy," I answered with a mouth full of toothpaste.
Peter laughed and was probably blushing at the name I had called him.
"Hey, so I got your note and I ditched my car and picked up a rental that's due at like the end of the week," He told me.
I nodded even though he couldn't see me, walking back to the bathroom to spit out my toothpaste and rinse my mouth.
"Good, how far are you from the hotel?" I asked, feeling panic settle in my chest and my stomach clench for no reason.
It was probably an early gut feeling that the assassins and Marie were going to find us soon.
"About fifteen minutes? Should I park in the front or the back?" He asked.
I looked at myself in the mirror and saw my worried reflection.
Just in case I should come up with a backup plan... these guys seemed to be one step ahead, and I knew the consequences of running away.
"Yeah, park wherever you think you should but what did you tell Holly? Now that I think about it they are all going to die and I need to know that they are at least safe for now," I blurt out walking back to my bed.
"Relax, just breathe. I took care of it, they are all headed to a private jet right now and getting flown out to England,"
I furrowed my brows.
"Wait, with what money and why?" I question, sitting on the queen bed with crossed legs.
"Your mom took care of it and came through, there are guards at the airport twenty-four seven and accompanying them on the jet as well. Everyone is safe," He reassured me.
I sighed, throwing myself back on the bed and closing my eyes.
"Good," I breathed out, running a hand through my hair.
The call became silent and all I could hear was Peter's breathing which was somewhat calming making me wish he was next to me at this very moment.
"Hey uh, when I get there, what name are you checked in under?" Peter asked, sounding confused.
"Arlington, Anthony Arlington is who the room is booked under, you tell him that's your name and you are my fiancé," I smirk.
"Anthony Arlington is your fiance? He's one lucky guy," Peter snorts.
