Chapter Thirty-Eight: Just sleep with me

I was officially moved in with Peter.

He had told me I could sleep on the bed until Elise was no longer staying here, and I felt bad.

"Your neck is gonna cramp and I'm sure your back will be in pain, just sleep on the bed," I told him, shaking my head.

"I don't think that's a good idea, and my girlfriend wouldn't approve," Peter answered.

My hands turned into fists and I blew out a quiet breath, turning onto my side and peering down at him.

"Do you see Elise in this room?" I asked, annoyed.

Peter's eyes met mine and he raised his brows, looking amused.

"Hmm?" I pursed my lips.

He chuckled and then perched up on his forearms to look at me better.

"No," Peter said slowly.

I huffed, throwing myself back down on the bed letting my mind wander.

My lips turned into a smile as I thought about how we were sharing a closet, and since my clothes were being washed he gave me a t-shirt.

It legit swallowed me, but the only robe that I sleep in was 'dirty'.

I smirked, pressing a hand over my mouth trying not to laugh.

"Just get on the bed, Peter," I groaned.

He snorted, and I felt my stomach clench.

It was almost like things went back to normal, and my body was craving his presence.

"Why do you want me to sleep with you so bad?!" He laughed out.

If he hadn't said that, I never would have realized how my sentences sounded.

Trying to think of a good excuse other than the fact that I wanted his chest pressed against my back, I sighed.

"I just don't want you to be grumpy tomorrow because of how stiff your body will be," I lied, cringing.

Well, it wasn't a lie actually.

I've slept on the floor before and the next morning I'm always in pain.

"This is your bed, you should be sleeping on it," I added.

He sat up and smiled at me, with a raised brow.

"You're right, it is my bed!" Peter exclaimed, picking up his pillow and blanket.

I felt a smile play on my lips, and my stomach fluttered.

He was going to sleep with me!

"So get off," His face dropped as he chucked the pillow at my face.

My hair blew around and some of it stuck to my lips as I closed my eyes and breathed in.

I frowned as he laughed.

Rude.

"Just sleep on the bed, we can do cat and dog if it makes you sleep better," I tell him.

I just want you next to me...

"What do you think I'm doing?" He joked, pulling down the covers making me scoot over.

Peter slid under the sheets, laying on his side as he breathed out through his nose closing his eyes.

Yay.

I watched him get comfy, staring at how the street lights from outside made the tips of his hair glow.

And holy shit were his lashes long.
