Hope Lupin-Black stood in front of her full-body mirror brushing her hair thoroughly, a big cheesy smile plastered across her face. Today was the day she was going to be joining her older brother at Hogwarts. Everything about going there made her worry more.
She worried about what people would say if they found out she was Sirius Black's daughter. Or what would happen if she was placed in Slytherin. And what would Dumbledore do if the school found out about her Papa and brother being werewolves? As Alfie strolled into her room, she was snapped out of her thoughts.
"Are you alright, Hope?" questioned Alfie, sitting on the edge of her bed. "I don't know if it's the way you're smiling, or--"
"I'm fine, just nervous? What if I don't make any friends?" Hope worried, before covering her face with her hands. "It's stupid."
"Hey, if you don't find any friends on your own, Cormac, Kevin, and I will be your friends. Besides, we already have to watch out for boys," Alfie laughed, making Hope roll her eyes. "What? Can't have my little sister getting into a relationship before I do."
"Shut up, loser."
Remus Lupin opened the door to his daughter's room, smiling at his children. "Your trucks are in the car. You know, I'm gonna miss you two being around the house this year. I don't know what I'll do with my time. But, Christmas is just around the corner."
