❛So funny, I forgot to laugh,❜

The next morning, Draco Malfoy couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Hope Lupin-Black, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter still walking the halls of Hogwarts. Instead, Hope was still gushing about the dog in the third-floor corridor, while the two boys talked about why the dog was even there in the first place.

As the three students passed Alfie Lupin-Black at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, his sister dashed over. "Dearest brother, Alfie--"

"What is it now?" he interrupted her, cocking an eyebrow at his little sister. "Don't think I can't tell, you're never that nice."

"He's got a point, y'know."

Hope narrowed her eyes at the Weasley boy, who raised his hands in defense. "What do you know about the third-floor corridor?"

His eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, as he explained. "I don't know, it's forbidden. I bet Dumbledore's got a bunch of spells on it to keep it locked. Why are you wanting to know?"

"No reason, I was just curious," she lied, which only made her older brother roll his eyes. "What?"

"You are so lying, c'mon just tell me what you guys did--" Alfie was cut off by an owl dropping a large package in front of Hope with a letter on top. "Woah, what's that?"

The Lupin-Black girl shrugged her shoulders as she opened the letter. "'Do not open the parcel at the table' suppose that's good to know," she chuckled as she continued to read. "It's a broomstick, a Nimbus Two-Thousand. And apparently, I have training with Oliver Wood."

"That boy's a Quidditch freak," added Cormac as he sat down next to Alfie.

Alfie eyed the package carefully. "Nimbus Two-Thousand, huh? What does that mean again?"

"It's a racing broom, Alphard," groaned Hope, turning over to face Ron. "I don't think he'll ever understand."

Ron Weasley nodded along, running his fingers along the package. "It's the coolest one of the year, I've never actually touched one before."
