CHAPTER FOURTEEN

❛Cedric can't take her as his date.❜

The announcement of the Yule Ball excited everyone around Hogwarts, it also sparked a lot of teenage love that wasn't quite there before. The only thing on the mind of most students was finding a date. And for the Hogwarts boys and girls, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons were the finest choices.

"Can you believe that George hasn't asked me to the Yule Ball, yet?" asked Hope, looking around at Seamus, Dean, Ron, Neville, and Harry as she laid on Seamus' bed.

Seamus' eyes widened quickly. "Wait, he seriously hasn't asked you, yet?"

"Wouldn't it be a given?" questioned Ron Weasley, looking up from a quidditch magazine. "You two are together."

"No, Ronald." said Seamus, looking flabbergasted that the Weasley boy didn't know. "He still has to ask. It's out of respect, it's the way it works."

Dean Thomas rolled his eyes at his best friend's dramatics. "How do you feel about the ball, Harry?"

"Lonely, Dean, lonely."

Ron only nodded, putting his head on the palm of his hand. "Hey, I'm right with you. Aren't we, Neville?"

"Nope." replied Neville, which caused many gasps from around the dorm. "Oh, come on. I've had a date before. Don't react that way."

Hope only blinked her grey eyes a few times. "Who, Nev?"

"Luna, she's from Ravenclaw." he sheepishly spoke, his face turning pink. "She seemed lonely and people always make fun of her. But, I think she's sweet and cool."

Dean patted his friend's shoulder, smiling slightly. "Good for you, Neville."

"I'm going with Dean." announced Seamus, plopping on his bed next to Hope. "As friends, of course."

"Sure."

Harry turned towards his godsister, pushing up his glasses. "I'm surprised Cedric didn't ask you, Hope."
