CHAPTER SIXTEEN
❛Uh, I got bored.❜
It had been a few weeks since the winter holidays, and neither Ron or Harry had spoken with Hermione. Which had caused the four friends to drift apart. Hermione spent all of her time with Parvati Patil while Hope spent all of her time with George.
On a cold Thursday evening, Remus Lupin had invited Harry to practice the Patronus charm. They had agreed to practice in the empty History of Magic classroom. When Harry had arrived, Hope sat at Professor Binn's desk.
"What are you doing here?" he questioned, eyeing the girl in confusion. "Isn't Professor Lupin supposed to be here?"
Hope shrugged, placing her journal on the desk. "Papa invited me to come along and watch."
It wasn't but five minutes before Remus Lupin arrived, carrying a large packing case. He placed the heavy case onto Professor Binn's desk, looking at Hope in annoyance.
"Hope, get your feet off of the desk." he stated, pulling things out of his briefcase.
Harry glanced at the large case. "What's that?"
"Just another Boggart." said Hope, now standing next to her father. "What else would it be?"
"I've been searching the castle, I found this one lurking in Flich's filing cabinet." explained Professor Lupin, taking off his cloak. "It's the closest thing to a Dementor that we'll get."
Harry bit the inside of his cheek, but nodded. "Okay."
"Do either of you know the Patronus Charm?" questioned Remus, but then shook his head. "I highly doubt either of you do, as this is beyond Ordinary Wizard Level."
"I do!" exclaimed Hope, jumping up next to her father. "Can I demonstrate, Papa?"
The father pinched the bridge of his nose, his blank face turning into one of amusement. "Hope, this is highly advanced magic. I highly doubt that you--"
