The next day at breakfast, all of the second-year Gryffindor students huddled together at the table. Most of them still couldn't believe that Harry Potter and Ron Weasley had managed to fly a car to Hogwarts.

"I can't imagine how mad your mum will be when she finds out," Hope Lupin-Black was the first to comment with a grin. "If I did that, Papa might actually lose it."

Dean Thomas let out a chuckle as he asked. "You think he might?"

"Yeah, you're right," she let out a laugh while she shook her head. "I would've started digging my grave myself. Especially if it was Mum sending the howler."

The words from the Lupin-Black girl didn't help Ron Weasley feel better in the slightest. He dreaded the owls coming in with the morning mail, knowing that after stealing his father's car for a second time, he'd be in for it.

Neville Longbottom glanced up as the owls began to soar into the Great Hall. "Mail's here, Gran's sending me a couple of things I forgot. Oh, and some more macarons for you and I, Hope. She knows they're your favorite."

"Oh my," Hope began to gush with a huge smile. "That is why she is my favorite Gran to walk this very planet."

The Weasley boy buried his face beside his plate of food as he groaned. "How can you talk that positively at a time like this?"

"I'm not the one who flew the car this time," she held her hands up in defense before questioning. "Which brings me back to the subject, what were you thinking?"

"Don't you start with me," Ron exclaimed, looking rather mad. "She would've been just as mad had I waited for her to get back!"

His friend didn't seem phased by his yells, she only glanced up at the owls and sighed. "Yeah, she would've. But it would've saved you some public humiliation."

Out of seemingly nowhere, the Weasley family's owl, Errol, landed on the Gryffindor table roughly. Almost managing to knock over a pitcher of juice. Her presence made Ron gasp with fright. "Oh no."
