To many people's surprise, the next morning, Hope Lupin-Black sat at the Gryffindor table with all of her friends. Hermione Granger knew she would, but her presence left Ron Weasley speechless, expecting her to sit with his brothers or her Slytherin friends.

"So," Hope spoke up, eyeing Hermione as she sipped on the milk in front of her. "What's on your mind? Why'd you want me here so bad?"

"Well, we need proof that Malfoy isn't the Heir of Slytherin," Hermione explained softly. "We want to believe you, we do, but we need some sort of proof."

The Lupin-Black girl's eyes flashed furious for a moment, not expecting Hermione of everyone to want proof. She rolled her eyes next as she scoffed. "Proof? That's what you want? You can't just believe me when I say it?"

"It doesn't matter, what if he's lying to you?" asked Hermione, trying to remain calm. "If we get some proof, I'll believe you."

Harry Potter raised his hand, in an attempt to get the girls' attention. "How do we find some proof?"

Hermione's eyes darted to Hope's, who instantly knew exactly what she meant. She began shaking her head, insisting. "No, no, no. Absolutely not. That potion is dangerous!"

Both Ron and Harry shared a look of confusion, not understanding what she meant by potion. Their eyes went wide as Hope began snapping at Hermione for being irresponsible, reckless, and having no morals.

"Potion?"

"Yes, she wants me to help brew a Polyjuice Potion, and the answer is no," she ranted, sighing as she explained further. "It's a potion that makes you look like someone else, and it's also very dangerous."

"But," Harry spoke up with furrowed brows. "Who would we turn into?"

She narrowed her eyes in her friend's direction, slightly disgusted by what her idea was. She knew for something more important, it'd be useful, but for something as minor as this, it was an invasion of privacy.
