"I cheated....."

Two words.
Two words that could break someone.
Ripping them apart, tearing them bit by bit.
Asking the universe, why they were chosen.
But worst of all, make them feel like shit.

Y/n L/n innocent fiancé to Kai. Sitting there with her legs crossed, eyes widen in shock, heart pumping really fast, and kept it all in. Kept every single emotion she is feeling to herself. She wanted to scream, yell, cry; but she couldn't. She simply couldn't express how she felt.

The two opposites attracted almost a decade ago. Perfect for one another. Oh so she had thought.
It was a nice day. Snow fell down softly. Only November and it had felt as though winter had decided to come early. Y/n found out it was a special day for her and her fiancé, as it was their anniversary.

~11.22.year~

She was dying to give her gifts to the love of her life and make him his favourite foods. Making it perfect. He was perfect in her eyes. In her little naive eyes. What she didn't know is that he went out for drinks a few weeks ago instead of going to his family as he had proposed to
Y/n.
And he got drunk. He didn't get wasted, so he was somewhat sober. He knew what he was doing, he knew what he was getting himself into, and he wasn't thinking. He lived in the present and didn't think about the future. He didn't think about Y/n.
He didn't feel any empathy as he was fucking a random girl at the club.
He didn't think about her emotions when he gave kisses all over the woman's breasts.
He didn't know how much it was going to break her when he touched someone else's body and they had touch his.

He didn't care.

After waking up in a random bed with a random girl, he found out he messed up. He fucked up so bad he cursed and ran. Realizing he was naked ran back got his clothes, and used spinjitsu to put it on. The hangover hit him hard. His head aching to even allow him to stand.
He looked for his phone and luckily it was in his pockets. Grabbing it and looking at the notifications, realizing he had gotten eighty-three missed calls from 'my love😘'.
"Shit," he cursed and called her right away. She had answered right away as well.

"K-Kai? Babe? Oh my god, are you okay? Did something happen?" She frantically asked over the phone.

"No sweetie, nothing happened I'm still in one piece," he chuckled.

"There's no time for jokes mister. I- I actually thought.....something happened...."

His heart then and there clenched. Clenched in love and guilt. She worried about him, she cared. So did he. He cared. He took care of her, he did all the stuff she wanted to do because she wanted to do it, even though it was boring, and loved her. He treated her like no other. Showering her in gifts, cooking for her sometimes and help out in the house while he was home.
All that effort got thrown away over one night.
Years of making got thrown away.
By one dumb decision.

"Hey, hey, I'm sorry. Look, I lied I wanted to get some drinks to get my mind of some stuff. I might've gotten wasted and slept her the whole night."

"Slept her?"

"Here! I meant here. My hangover is really messing up with my speech, also can you pick me up? I'm at 49 king avenue. My dragon won't work in this condition."

"Of course! Coming in ten minutes. Love you, hun."

"Love you....too." She had already hung up.
The car ride was silent. It was so tense. She didn't know why he lied. But was overall glad that he had told her the truth.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For telling me the truth. I'm glad to know that you can trust me and I can trust you. No secrets. Of course we have some privacy, but not with each other." She rested her right hand on his thigh. He tensed at the choice of her words.
Trust.
He had broke it.

"I'm glad too," he played it off.

Guilt followed him around for weeks. Haunting him long enough to finally admit.
And that's where we are in this story.

"W-what?"

"I- I don't know what happened. I was slightly drunk and we were in the room laughing....and it started out with a kiss. I think....I pushed her off then she came back on me and kissed me. My mind was so blank. I couldn't think. I wasn't thinking. I tried to remember who I was and what was happening but the alcohol went in my head. Then I woke up and ran out. That's when I called you," he lazily gestured towards her. He gulped harshly as he wiped his tears, "I'm sorry, I thought she was you."

What she did next surprised him, she hugged him. "It's okay," her lips in a thin line. "Why don't we eat dinner and forget all of this?" Her hand in a rotating gesture. Kai was overly shocked. He was expecting her to scream in her face and force him to leave. But she didn't, and she was already in the kitchen but the time he was don't being in shock.

The dinner went as though nothing had happened. She talked to him calmly and asked about his day. Kai wanted to get a punishment. He didn't deserve anything that came his way. He was repulsive, mad all the time, and he had a big ego. Him cheating just topped it like a cherry on a sundae.
After some wine, they went to bed. The only thing different was that they didn't cuddle. Y/n said she was feeling under the weather and didn't want to get him sick. They both knew she was lying, but both stayed silent. As Kai was drifting off to sleep he heard sobs.
Light sobs that soon came out as hiccups.

She was crying.

And it was all his fault.

Because he was a cheater.

"Am I not good enough?" She whispered to herself. But Kai heard and he suddenly felt guilty. He always felt guilty but then he felt a different kind that washed over him. It was never her fault. She was never a mistake. It was his fault. But she took the blame.
"I'm asking you a question," she murmured.

"You are good enough," he sat up from the bed, he didn't feel tired all of a sudden.
"I'm an asshole. I always fuck up things that mean most to me. I don't even talk to my parents anymore after accidentally burning down their shop. The ninjas don't want me patrolling with them because I act before I think. Hell, the only people I actually have in life is you and my sister because both of you understand me. I'm gonna lose you now because I didn't think and got drunk." Tears started to fall.
"You don't deserve this. I'm so sorry. Even though sorry doesn't change the past. I- I don't deserve to live."

"Everyone makes mistakes," she comforted.

"Mine have impact on people. You felt worthless because of me."

Y/n just watched him leave the bed and walk to living room to sleep on the sofa. She didn't say anything. She couldn't say anything. He was right.

No matter how both of them felt, the word still dangled over his head.

He was still defined as a cheater.
