"No way!"

Kai barked out a laugh. Y/n nodded laughing furiously.
"I'm not joking. There was a cat playing the song chopsticks, with chopsticks!" (TMNT Movie feels)

"I gotta see that," he chuckled. Y/n nodded and went for her pocket, it was flat and didn't have the dimension of a phone.
She looked around her to see if it fell, then realized she had left her device at her place. Kai saw her worrying.
"Everything alright?"

"I-I left my phone at home," she mumbled. It was audible enough for Kai to hear. He didn't see what the problem.

"Let's go get it," he said, pointing his thumb at the door. Y/n shook her head. She then calmed down, and looked at him shyly.

"It's okay, I can send it to you tomorrow."

"But you're staying here for the break," he tilted his head, confused. He scratched his head, not really getting why she didn't want to get her cellular device.
"It's not a biggie if you're worried about me. Were you?" He wiggled his eyebrows. Y/n laughed, but shook her head.

"No," she said, poking his nose. He scrunched it up and pouted.

"Too bad you weren't thinking of me," He quivered his lip. It was like it struck him, confusion was written all over his face.
"Then what's the problem?"
Y/n got worried he'll start to worry more than he already had. She put a smile on her face. But it didn't quite reach her eyes. It fooled Kai.

"Nothing, let's go," she said. Kai nodded, then his eyes widen as he started rushing her.
"Wait."

"We can't. It's Zane's night to cook." She knew what he meant. The ninja go crazy over Zane's cooking. If they didn't comeback in time, they wouldn't even have dinner.
"C'mon."
Y/n sighed. He grabbed his jacket and Y/n's, then grabbed her hand to pull her out. She felt scared as she jumped on Kai's dragon.
"What's the real reason why you don't wanna go to get it? I'm serious, I don't mind, but it looked like you did." He slightly looked back at the female who was gripping onto his torso. She had a devastated look on her face, and responded by looking away.
"Okay, Fine."

Kai dropped her off in front of her house. She was shaking, sweaty and felt like she could collapse. She held on her jacket tighter on her, as if it was going to depart from her.
She could hear more footsteps behind her, she turned around with a worried expression written on her face.
"S-Stay out here. I'll be in and out," she reassured him. He shrugged, and nodded in understanding. She glimpsed the hint of disappointment in his eyes, already making her regretting her choice, nevertheless she couldn't let him come in.
"Don't worry I'll be fine." Kai had never been so confused that day.
Y/n went in, opening the door slowly, making sure no noise came out of the door. When she got through she closed it the same way. She tiptoed over the beer bottles and made her way up the stairs. She went into her room and grabbed her phone that was still charging on her nightstand beside her bed.
She left her room without any disturbances. She let out a breath, that she was unaware of holding in.
She made her way downstairs freely. Too fast making her lose her step.

*Crash*

She cringed as she looked behind her. She walked backwards accidentally broke her mother's vase.

"What the fuck!" Her dad came storming in with her mother. Y/n had a saddened look on her face, regretting she even came there in the first place. Her father fixed his gaze on the broken vase behind her.
"You're such a clumsy bitch!" He yelled.

"Honey, why were you drinking?" Her mom asked innocently. Y/n was baffled at her assumption.

"I'm too young to drink!" She defended.

"Where have your ass been!?" Her dad asked. Y/n didn't tell her parents that she was staying at Kai's house with the rest of his ninja friends.
"Where are you going?!"

"I'm sleeping over at my friends house for the break." She mumbled. It was winter break and they had two weeks off.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He questioned.
"Male or female?"

"Female, okay."

"Is everything all right, Y/n?" Kai asked coming in the door. He leaped his way over to Y/n, over all the bottles laying around.
"Oh, um, hi, Mrs. and Mr. L/n."

"This is your 'female' friend, who's house your staying at?" D/n asked in disbelief, pointing his finger at Kai.
Kai was confused. He was gonna lose brain cells for the amount of times he was confused that day.
"You lies to me. You're a fucking liar!" He raised his hand, and slapped Y/n straight across the face. Her face felt red and hot, it stung badly, making her starting to cry. Tears stung her eyes, almost hurting her if it didn't come out. She let out a quick sob, followed by more, up to the point where she's full on sobbing.

"Y/n!" Kai called out. Y/n's vision was blurry, and couldn't see what was going on. She was picked up by Kai then immediately felt the cold breeze. She wondered how they already were outside and on his dragon.
When they got off the ground, her sobbing stopped, nevertheless the tears still came.
"W-why didn't you tell me you were getting abused?"
She looked away, couldn't bare to see his disappointed face.
"Don't tell me, you didn't want me to worry." More tears fell from her eyes.

"I-I couldn't. It wasn't something I could just bring up. I didn't want you to pity me. You have a whole other life, and there's me. I'm not your biggest concern. Ninjago is," she explained. Kai was taken aback of how low she spoke of herself. He kissed her forehead. She blushed madly, so did he.
"W-wha?"

"I like you Y/n. A lot. I can't bare to see you like this. We can't date, if we don't trust each other," he bluntly said. Y/n looked at him in disbelief. 'How did he know?'  She thought.

"F-fine. From now on I'll tell you everything," she promised.
"Only if you promise."

"I promise. Now, we better hurry before they finish the food. Then you gotta show me that cat video," he laughed. She barked out a laugh, nodding.
She couldn't resist him.
