Hey, all! I want to take a quick moment before this chapter to apologize for taking so long to get back into posting. Some things happened in my personal life which caused some big changes. I am currently unemployed, so I'll be able to devote more time to writing, but when I do get another job (Hopefully soon), posting frequency will be cut back a little. I have quite a few projects in the works, which I'm very excited to share with you, but they're not quite ready yet.
I want to give you all an opportunity. Kind of like a vote thing-ish. It'll take a few steps, but all will be worth it. It'll be like a series of questions, kinda. It's hard to explain.
First Question: What is a song(or songs) that remind you of Loki? (They can be any genre)
Enjoy the chapter!!
I teleport Bruce and I to the complex. I notice a familiar face. "Rhodey," I walk up to the man with a smile. I give him a hug.
"Miss Iverdottir," I turn to see Ross on the hologram.
I press my lips together, awkwardly. "Excuse me then," I walk to the back of the room and sit in a chair, waiting.
"Mr. Secretary." Steve says. I look up, joy all over my face.
"You got some nerve. I'll give you that."
"You could use some of that right now."
"The world's on fire. And you think all is forgiven?"
"I'm not looking for forgiveness. And I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender. So we're here to fight. And if you wanna stand in our way... We'll fight you too."
"Arrest them."
"All over it." Rhodey ends the hologram conference. I wheel my chair over to the desk and block all future conference requests from him with a smirk plastered on my face. The computer beeps and I look at the message. "That's a court martial. It's good to see you, Cap."
"You too, Rhodey."
No one has said hi to me. "Wow... You guys look like crap. Must've been a rough couple of years."
"Yeah well, the hotels weren't exactly five star."
"Uh, I think you look great." Bruce walks into the light and chuckles. "Yeah, I'm back."
"Hi, Bruce."
There's a long pause. "Nat."
"This is awkward."
I think for a second. "Let me catch you all up to speed," I gesture to the lounge in the next room. I lift one of the glass boards up the small steps and wheel it into the room. "So, when I went back to Asgard after... The Accords... Thor and I found Loki, who, surprise surprise, was still alive. Thor had a sister no one knew about. She tried to kill the three of us, but we ended up on a planet called Sakaar. We found Hulk there, who was fighting in some kind of weird battle thing. We managed to get him back to Bruce. We meet Valkyrie, who you'd all really like, and we all go back to stop Thor's sister. Well, Asgard gets destroyed and we all end up on a ship, headed for Earth, so Asgardians could take refuge. Well, this guy, Thanos, attacks our ship and kills a lot of us. Heimdall sends Hulk and I back to Earth."
"What does this Thanos want?" Steve asks, tired of my storytelling.
"The Infinity Stones." I draw six circles on the board. "That's why he attacked our ship. Loki took the Tesseract before Asgard blew up. That's the Space Stone," I grab the blue marker and color in the circle. "He already has the Power Stone." I color in one purple. "His henchmen came to New York for the Time Stone," I color the other in green. "He didn't get it. Strange and Tony are in space with it right now." I grab the red marker. "I've seen the Reality Stone before. It's on a planet called Knowhere with The Collector. I don't much about him, but at least I know where the stone is." I grab the yellow marker. "Next is the Mind Stone," I color it in.
