It's been a year since I joined Tony at Stark industries. I'm still living with my family. I've only been back to Asgard twice. Today is my third visit. "Adam, I told you about him." I smile at the Allfather. "He has his first football game tonight. It's a Midgardian sport. He's adjusting well to high school. He's actually taking a mythology class. I'm really helpful there. Dad-... Charlie's condition has worsened. He had to leave work. The tremors have set in. Stephanie has taken on a job, becoming the source of income. She's a teacher now. She's actually Adam's teacher. Mathematics. I tried to talk Tony into doing an assembly at the school, but he refused. He did agree to allowing a field trip group to come to the tower. Under my supervision, of course." My watch on my wrist beeps. I look down at it. "Oh, that'll be that. I can't be late to Adam's game."
"Take care, Eldrid. I do enjoy our visits."
I smile at my king. "You too, Allfather," I bow and walk out.
I stand in the stands, my grey and purple clothes keeping me warm from the extreme cold. I let out a loud cheer as I clap. Suddenly, it's halftime. I bound down the stands to catch my brother before he goes into the locker room. I get a high five from him. I wrap him in a headlock and pat his helmet. "Stop. You're embarrassing me."
I laugh. "Oh, yeah, little bro? I can always put on my old cheer uniform and embarrass you more."
He laugh this time. "You were only a cheerleader for 4 months."
"Yeah..." I let him go. "They didn't take to kindly to my new ideas."
"HEY! ANY DAY NOW, KIDMAN!" We both turn to his coach calling for him.
I salute my brother and he runs off. I join my mother at her spot on the sidelines. She wraps her arm around me. "Hey, Bumblebee."
"Hey, mom." She kisses the top of my head. My phone beeps. I look at the notification. "Excuse me." I dial Tony's number. Before he can say anything, I speak up. "Should we be worried about what's going on in DC?"
"Well, hello to you, too. That is SHIELD's problem. We don't clean up their mess. Besides, Cap is in DC. Ergo, not our problem." He hangs up.
I scoff and shove my phone into my pocket. "Rude."
I pause my movie, raising off the couch. There's another knock on the door. "I'm coming, I'm coming." I swing open the door. "Th-... Thor?"
"Hello." The blonde smiles brightly at me.
I pull him inside. "What are you doing here?" I whisper at him.
The smile does not fade from his face. "I'm here to visit you!" He says at full volume.
"Sh, sh, sh!" I put my finger over my mouth.
"Who is it?" Dad's voice echos down the stairs.
I look around. "It's no one dad. Go back to your reading."
"Your father is home? I should introduce myself." He tries to push past me.
I push my hands against his chest, but I can't hold him back. "No, no, no. You need to tell me why you're here."
"To see you," Thor wraps his arms around me. He pushes back and looks at my worried face. "Are you alright?"
"my mom is going to be home any moment now with Adam."
He smiles again. "Good. I meet them all!"
I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. "Dri, who is-..." I turn to see my dad at the bottom of the stairs. "Is this...?"
