Beyond The Stars (UNDER REVISION)

Despair

I crumble onto the floor as the blade leaves my torso. "Hear me and rejoice. You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan. You may think this is suffering. No. It is salvation. Universal scales tip towards balance because of your sacrifice. Smile. For even in death, you have become Children on Thanos." 

"Loki..." The faint sound of my own voice echos through my ears. I grab the man I love by the ankle. My grip loosens as black spots fill my vision. 

"I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right... Yet to fail, nonetheless." I hear a groaning, but I don't have the energy in me to open my eyes. "It's frightening. Turn the legs to jelly. But I ask you, to what end? Dread it, run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now it's here. Or should I say... I am."

"You talk too much." I recognize that voice as Thor's. 

"The Tesseract... Or your brother's head." There's a long pause. "I assume you have a preference." 

"Oh, I do." The voice I love so much fills my ears. "Kill away." 

Thor's screams fill my ears. Using the little energy I have left, I link with Loki. Loki, please... I watch everything from his eyes.

I feel his emotions- his heart- drop. "Alright, stop!" 

"We don't have the Tesseract. It was destroyed on Asgard." I know exactly what is happening. "You really are the worst, brother." 

"I assure you, brother. The sun will shine on us again." 

"Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian." 

"Well, for one thing, I'm not Asgardian. And for another, we have a Hulk." Just then, I see Hulk come into view. Loki tackles Thor out of the way. He grabs my hand and I feel his magic coursing through me. My eye open. I crawl across the floor to Hulk. 

"Allfathers, let the dark magic flow through me one last time..." I watch as colors swirl around us. 

"No!" The scream wrenches through my throat. Flying through space, I try to link with Thor, but it isn't working. Anxiously, I cling to Hulk. I feel ourselves land. 

"Thanos is coming," Bruce says from above me. I look up to see Doctor Strange and another man. "He's coming." 

"Who?" 

I stand, my knees wobbling. "Get Stark." I begin pulling myself out of the hole. "NOW!" 

"And who's we?" Tony says. Bruce and I walk out of the portal. 

"Hey, Tony." I hang back, letting them have their reunion. I feel out of place. 

"Bruce."

"Pepper."

"Hi."

I watch a they hug. "You okay?" Tony makes eye contact with me. "What is...?"

"Asgard's gone, Tony. All of it..." I sniffle. "We need you, Tony." When he follows us into the portal, I begin explaining. "After I had gone back to Asgard, Heimdall warned me that something was wrong. Loki, you remember him,-" 

"Yeah, tried to kill me and take over Earth." Tony sits on the bench.

"He was pretending to be Odin while the real Odin was here on Earth. Well, Thor and I brought Loki back to get Odin, but he wasn't where Loki left him. We find him, he dies, this woman appears. Her name is Hela and she's Thor's sister." I shake my head. "Loki tries to get us back to Asgard, but Hela jumps into the Bifrost and kicks us out. We land on Sakaar. Where we met this really weird dude, The Grandmaster, total creep. I swear he had a thing for Loki (I want you all to imagine Tony's face through all of this). Anyways, we find Bruce there. Well, not really Bruce, but the Hulk. We manage to get Bruce back and we steal one of the Grandmaster's ships. With the help from this really awesome girl, Tony, you'll love her. Well we get back to Asgard and Hela has taken over. Loki steals the Tesseract again. Surtur, a mythical foe destined to bring the end of Asgard, destroys the planet and Hela along with it. Well all of the Asgardians, Korg, Meek, an handful of other beings, Hulk, Thor, Valkyrie, Loki, and myself all head here, to Earth, in hopes to live here. We get stopped by this ship which was much bigger than ours. Chitauri and Thanos, and this really ugly dude, slaughter many of my people. I think he got the Tesseract. Heimdall teleported Hulk and I here in hopes to warn Earth of his arrival. He's after the Infinity Stones."
