I watch the battle arena below me. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, Lord of Thunder," I watch as a man with short hair and red face paint walks into the arena. Everyone boos.
I momentarily link myself with Thor. "They may not support you, but I believe in you, Thor."
"Thank you, Dri." His words bring a smile to my face.
"Watch out for his fingers. They make sparks. Okay, this is it. Let's get ready to welcome this guy. Here he comes. He is a creature. What can we say about him? Well, he's unique. There's none like him. I feel a special connection with him. He's undefeated. He's the reigning. He's the defending. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Your Incredible..."
I watch as a familiar green figure walks out fo the door, smashing the frame. "HULK!" Hulk yells out.
"H-Hulk?" I feel entirely confused.
Thor stats cheering. "YES!"
"I have to get off this planet..." Loki's voice is shaky from behind me.
I remember the state Hulk left Loki in before. "Hey, hey, hey. Where are you going?" Grandmaster says.
I start to ignore everyone in the room. I step closer to the window, my face almost against the glass. Thor turns his attention to us. "Hey! Hey! We know each other! He's a friend from work!" Grandmaster looks at Loki and he uncomfortably coughs.
Grandmaster looks at me. "Dri, darling, you'll smudge up the glass. Come sit. Relax and enjoy the competition." His voice makes me uncomfortable, but I follow his wishes. Maybe playing along with it will keep me alive for now. I sit directly between Loki and Grandmaster.
"Where have you been? Everybody though you were dead. So much has happened since I last saw you. I lost my hammer. Like, yesterday, so that's still pretty fresh. Loki. Loki's alive. Can you believe it? He's up there." Thor points to us. "Loki, look who it is!" I look at Loki's face and it's an expression of true terror. "Banner, I never thought I would say this, but I'm happy to see you." Hulk turns away. "Banner. Hey, Banner."
Hulk turns back. "No Banner. Only Hulk."
"What are you doing? It's me, Thor." Suddenly, Hulk attacks.
I bounce my knee anxiously, hands folded in front of my mouth. I lean forward, separating myself from the room behind me. I watch as Hulk launched Thor into the wall of the arena. Thor attacks back, this time sending Hulk flying. "Hey, big guy. The suns getting real low. Shh. That's it. The sun's going down." I get a happy feeling to see my long lost friend again. "I won't hurt you anymore. No one will." Thor screams when Hulk grabs him by the feet and begins slamming him into the ground. Hulk throws him and roars.
"YES!" Loki stands, "THAT'S HOW IT FEELS!" He looks at me and then the Grandmaster. "I'm just a huge fan of the sport." Grandmaster laughs.
The two begin fighting again. "I know you're in there, Banner! What's a matter with you? I told them we were friends!" Thor goes to hit Hulk with the large hammer, but Hulk catches it. I can feel the anticipation radiating off everyone. Hulk punches Thor, sending him flying. I gasp and cover my mouth when he starts beating him into the ground. I can't see Thor because Hulk's large frame is blocking my view. Suddenly, there's a burst of lightning. They charge at each other again and Thor knocks Hulk into the ground.
"THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDER!" Everyone starts cheering.
The Grandmaster shocks Thor, rendering him immobile. Hulk jumps into the air, flying above the arena. He begins falling with a fist. I cover my eyes and look away in time to not see the impact.
