"Jane." I'm snapped out of my own world.
She sits up. "Malekith."
We land the ship and climb out. We all quietly walk to the edge of the cliff. Crouching down, I look at the large ship. "Alright, are you ready?" Jane nods.
"I am," Loki says. We all stand. "You know this plan of your is gonna get us killed."
"Yes, possibly."
Loki puts his hands out. "You still don't trust me, bother?"
"Would you?" Thor asks before taking the cuffs off.
"No, I wouldn't." Loki stabs Thor.
"THOR!"
Thor rolls down the hill and we all follow. "You really think I cared about Frigga? About any of you?" Loki kicks him in the face. Not wanting to do what I have to, I stomp my foot into his side. "All I ever wanted was you and Odin dead at my feet!" Thor reaches for Mjolnir, but Loki chops his hand off. Jane rushes over. Loki picks her up. "Malekith! I am Loki of Jotunheim and I bring you a gift!" He throws Jane at his feet. I laugh softly to really sell the act as I grab Loki's hand. "I as only one thing in return. A good seat from which to watch Asgard burn." The large being translates. I look up at Loki with evil admiration.
"Look at me." Malekith kicks Thor over before raising Jane off the ground. I watch as the red substance is pulled from her body.
"Loki, now!" Loki drops the illusion and jumps to cover Jane. I drop to the ground and protect myself. Thor launches a lightening bolt at the Ether. It shatters to a billion pieces. Before I have time to celebrate, Malekith draws the Ether to him, absorbing it's power. I rush over to Loki in fear. Suddenly, Thor starts fighting the Dark Elves.
Something is thrown at us and Loki pushes Jane and I out of the way. "Loki!" I yell out, reaching my hand after him as he's drawn to the portal. Suddenly, Thor saves him. I let out a heavy sigh, drawing my sword. Thor flies after the ship, but is stopped. Loki and I are surrounded. I begin fighting off the Dark Elves. Loki see Thor being defeated. "Go. I'll hold them off," I say as I climb onto one of the Elves' shoulders before snapping his neck. I continue fighting them off.
"NO!" I hear Thor yell. I pull my sword from the dead Elf before looking up. I see Loki on the ground, holding himself. My mind jumps to the worst. I run as fast as I can. The noises around me turning into an incomprehensible blur. My feet pounding against the ground, sending shockwaves through my legs. There's a big swirl of orange and being is gone. A pain causes me to fall to my knees. I feel the blood pouring from the various scrapes. "NOOO!!" Thor yells again. This pain isn't the same as I felt with Frigga. Something is different. I look at Loki's motionless body. Covering my mouth, I let out a throat ripping sob. I cry uncontrollably. I loose track of time. "Dri... We have to go."
"No." I softly say, clinging to Loki.
Thor grabs my arms. "We have to leave. Malekith needs to be stopped."
"NO!!" I scream loudly before burying my face in Loki's chest. My face is burning hot and my throat feels like it's on fire. I feel something in his pocket. I grab it before Thor pulls me off of Loki. I fight back as he carries me away. He sets me down inside the cave. I've finally stopped crying. I look down at what I've been clenching in my fist. The small metal box glints in the low light. I ignore everything going on around me. The box creaks as I open it. I gasp slightly. I see various things from Earth. I grab the small teabag label and hold it up. I remember the first day I brought Loki to Midgard. I grab the ticket from the roller rink. I remember showing him how to play skeeball. I set the two things in my lap and grab the small, shiny blue shard. With a soft smile, I remember accidently dropping a Christmas ornament, scaring Loki while he read on the couch. I grab the small bell from the box. I remember painting the bells different colors for each of the kittens. I finally grab the last thing. I unfold the paper. A tear runs down my face when i see the picture I gave to Loki when he was locked up on the SHIELD ship.
