I sit in the Quinjet, waiting for my orders. "Negative. That truck crashes and the gem could level the city. We need to draw out Ultron." Cap prepares to jump on the truck. Without coordinating with my teammates, I look out of the window and spot the truck. Taking a deep breath, I teleport myself onto it. I wave to him when he lands. He looks up at the Jet then back at me and shrug and smile. He goes over the edge of the truck and Ultron blasts through the door, forcing it to open. I make myself invisible and climb inside. He blasts again. "Well, he's definitely unhappy. I'm gonna try to keep him that way."
"You're no match for him, Cap," Barton says.
"Thank's Barton."
I watch as Ultron unplugs himself. Once he leaves, I begin attacking the bots in the truck, staying invisible. Once the guards are distracted with Nat, I survey the device, trying to find a way to open it. I tune out my teammates. Suddenly, I hear feet land next to me. I look up to see Nat. Forgetting I'm invisible, I speak up. "Nice of you to join me," I say. She looks around, confused. I make myself visible. "A hand?" She walks up to the control panel and tries to override the protocol. Without warning, we're lifted off the ground and we slide across the floor. I grab onto one of the safety straps with one hand, holding onto Nat with the other. Once we're steady, i fling her up to the safety strap.
"The package is airborn. I have a clear shot."
"Negative. We're still inside the truck."
"What the hell are you-"
"Just be ready. I'm sending the package to you."
"How do you want me to take it?"
"Eh, you might wish you hadn't asked that."
Nat and I both cut the straps. "I lost him! He's heading your way!" Cap yells in our ears.
"Nat, we got to go." I climb onto the device and hold on tight. She places the explosive on the wall and grabs on as well. As we land inside the jet, Ultron grabs Nat's foot and pulls her away. I try to jump after them, but Barton turns the Jet around. I lose my balance and fall into the wall.
I sit cross legged on the floor, my eyes closed tightly. I'm focusing on Natasha, but I can't see anything. "Come on. Come on." I curse myself for not being able to see her. "You're letting your worry get in the way... Relax." The sound of my laughter echoes around me.
"What worry?" I laugh again.
"Open your eyes. Look around you."
I open my eyes. The green of the grass shining bright under the Asgardian sun. I feel the thin, soft sheet under my legs. "I'm not worried, Loki," I look up at the pale man with a smile.
"You are. For your father."
I sigh. "Alright, maybe a little, but I worry about him. He's sick."
"And Heimdall told you that he's doing better. Just relax," He places his hand on my knee.
"I can't relax when you do that," I laugh and push his hand off.
"What?" He looks at me confused for a second before blushing. "Pardon."
I let out another laugh. "So, what else can we do? As Asgardians?"
"There is one more thing. It's called All-Tongue. Asgardians can-"
"Ugh, yawn. I'm relaxed now. Let me try again." I take a deep breath, the chilled, sweet smelling Asgardian air tingling my nose.
