I take extra care as to not step on anything that'd make noise. I begin teleporting across the garbage dump that is this planet. I can't tell how long I was flying through space, but the wound has already started to heal. Not wanting to approach an unknown city unprepared, I make sure to only go small distances. Just outside city barriers, I hear loud gunshots from behind me. I've been teleporting fro at least 8 hours. They're way too far away though and it's not any of my business. The likeliness of it being someone I know is a trillion to one. I head through the city, observing the life around me. Everyone seems very lively. I notice one very tall building in the center of the city. Deducing that someone important is up there, I teleport into it. After lots of running and teleporting, I reach the top. I wander around the building for another 2 hours. I stumble upon a lively party. I examine everyone in the room. My eyes land on a familiar face looking directly at me. His pale skin and chilling eyes sends a mixture of emotions through my body. Only two people have been able to see me in this state. I wave to him and he smiles at the man who was standing beside him, excusing himself. Once he's around the corner, I make myself visible. "What are you doing?" I whisper yell.
"Playing nice."
"Since when have you been one to play nice?"
"That's rude," he sounds offended.
I roll my eyes. "What is this shit planet?"
"Sakaar."
I shrug my shoulders, signifying that the name means nothing to me. "Whatever it is, it's a fucking dump."
"So vulgar. When did that happen?"
"Can we just leave now?"
He opens his mouth to speak, but someone walks up behind him. "Who is this?" I look at the tan man with a blue stripe down his chin and blue eyeliner.
"Grandmaster, this is Eldrid. She crashed here as well." Play nice. Trust me. I hear Loki's voice in my head.
He narrows his eyes at me. "It is so lovely to meet you, Gra-... Grandmaster, was it?" I extend my hand with a smile. "Eldrid, but people just call me Dri." He shakes my hand. I sigh with a friendly smile. "I love this planet. So many..." Piles of trash "Treasures."
He turns to Loki. "I highly recommend her to you."
"A prostitute?" His eyes seductively trace over me.
I feel anger well inside me. "Excuse me? I'll have you know-"
Loki cuts me off. "Dri, here, was a loyal guard and warrior back on our planet."
A buff woman walks up behind us. "Scrapper 142 is here."
"Thank you, Topaz. Uh, Dri, enjoy the party. Make yourself comfortable," He pats Loki's shoulder, his hand lingering a bit longer than normal before leaving.
I shoot Loki a suspicious glance. "Playing nice?"
"Oh, shut up!"
I laugh softly. "So what is it? Got bored? Bat for that team now? I support you if you do! 100%" He places two fingers on my forehead and I'm shown an image of The Grandmaster melting someone. "Ah, still as manipulative as ever, Lok-" I cough, stopping myself. "I would've done the same to save my own skin." I gesture to his new outfit. "A gift?"
"Will you quit it already?"
"Nope," I smirk at him. "Well, if its a party-" I wave my hands and change from my battle gear to an outfit of my own design. It's a mix between Midgardian sexy, business casual and Asgardian formal. "Better dress for the event."
