I sit on the couch, my mind linked with Thor's. "Have you ever thought of dating?"
I choke on my drink. "What?" I ask once I catch my breath.
"Dating. You're always alone."
"I am not!" I yell, my voice echoing around the empty house. I scan the bare walls. "Thor, I don't want to date right now."
"Maybe you should. I could set you up with someone."
"You don't have any friends."
He pauses for a second. "Darryl is single."
"Thor."
"Yes?"
"Stay out of my love life."
"Or lack thereof," He adds before I sever the link.
I scoff and rise off the couch. "Or lack thereof," I mock in Thor's voice.
ADAM'S POV(ooh, interesting!!)
The brown eyes I adore meet mine. "Adam!"
I shake my head, forcing myself out of my thoughts. "Y-Yeah?" My gaze focuses on the crass boy in front of me. "What is it, Flash?"
"You're playing tonight, right?"
I narrow my eyes at him. "Why wouldn't I?"
"I need your help. At halftime-"
"No. Flash, I'm not going to help you in another one of your schemes to harass Peter Parker."
He scoffs and crosses his arms across his chest. "Since when do you like Penis Parker so much?"
"I-I don't, but what has he ever done to you?" Thankfully, the school bell rings. I grab my bag and rush out of the school. I duck behind the bleachers where no one can see me. I watch as the small boy runs across the football field. He does this everyday. The boy vaults the fence. I go to chase after him, but a hand grabs my shoulder.
"Are you planning on skipping out on us before the game?"
I look back to see a few of my teammates watching me. I laugh nervously. "No. Of course not. I was just heading to the field house to grab the uh-.. The-"
"Dude, chill. We actually bring good news. You know my girlfriend, Julia?" I nod to his question. "Well, she said that her little friend, Bethany, was interested in you."
"Oh, really?" I act surprised, as if I hadn't noticed the advancements she's made at me.
"We gotta go. Coach wants us on the bus in 10." I nod. "Remember, wrap it before you tap it," the boys around me erupt into laughter as they walk away. I laugh as well, but the situation actually makes me uncomfortable. I pull out my phone and check the messages from my sister. As I type my reply, the phone rings in my hand.
"H-Hello?"
"Good. I caught you." Dri's voice says. "I need to know if you want me to wear my blue blouse or my yellow one? I can't ear my usual game outfit because it's the wrong colors. So, blue or yellow?"
I feel very awkward. "Actually... I was planning on asking you not to come?"
"What? It's your first game with Midtown. I have to be there."
"I don't want..."
"Me to cause a scene. I got it."
"You can always do your magic alien thing and watch."
