I look myself over in the mirror. My long brown hair is twirled into braids that all go to a bun on the top of my head. "Are you ready?" I hear a voice from the other side of the bathroom door. I take a deep breath, my eyes on the red and white suit.
"Yeah, I'm ready."
"Be careful," I hear a familiar voice echo through my mind.
"Loki?" I ask, looking around.
"Did you say something?" I hear Nat ask from the other side of the door.
I close my eyes and scoff, wondering how I could be so naive. "No, sorry." I walk over to the door and open it. "Let's go get those stones." I nod and begin walking past her.
"Hold up a second," Nat says, causing me to stop. I turn around to face her.
"Yeah?"
"I want to show you something." Nat grabs my hand and pulls me around the corner. "Look." I look up to see the plaque that has everyone's names on it. Everyone who I've worked with and grown to know and even love. My eyes land on the very last name. "We all read your book, you know." I just stare at the name. Loki Odinson.
I smile. "Thank you." I turn around and envelop Nat in a tight hug.
She lightly chuckles. "It was Tony's idea." I pull back, keeping my hands on her arms. "I may have had some input."
"Myself as well." I turn to see Nebula watching the both of us. I let go of Nat and hug Nebula. She stiffens. "I..." After a long pause, she wraps her arms around me as well.
"Thank you so much." I pull back and wipe my eyes, since a few tears have gathered in them. "Let's go bring everyone back." I smile at Nat and Nebula, grabbing both of their hands and pulling them behind me.
"Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams. You know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes... No do overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. That doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives... and we're gonna win," Steve and Tony look at each other. "Whatever it takes." He looks back at us. "Good luck."
Rocket speaks up from beside me. "He's pretty good at that."
"Right?" Scott asks with a smile.
"Alright, you heard the man. Stroke those keys, Jolly Green," Tony says.
"Trackers engaged."
I lean over to Thor. I grab his hand give him a reassuring look. "We got this." Bruce walks up and engages his device.
"See ya in a minute," Nat smiles.
The machine starts up. I take a deep breath and put my helmet on as everyone else does. In a flash, I shrink down. I look around as I'm sent across the Quantum Realm. In an instant, I'm back on Asgard. I look around at the pillars and cube cells. We remove our nanotech Team Suits. "Where are we?" Rocket asks, confused.
"The prisons. This way," We begin our discreet run to the guest chambers. As we pass through the prison, I see Loki's cell. My heart screams at me to stop, but I don't. I know I'll see him again. We reach the exit and run through the large, stone hall. "Here," I quietly say as we hide behind a pillar.
I look at the maiden who once helped me when I first arrived. "For you, Lady Jane."
"Do you have anything with pants?"
