Anxiety Attacks

I sat down to say, "hi" to someone today
You sat next to them and across from me
My chest closed up and I felt like I couldn't breathe
I felt like my tongue had disappeared
You were staring at me and I just couldn't breathe

No words came from my mouth 
I just looked the other way 
I got up and moved to the other side
I thought I had moved on, yet you still leave me speechless
You make me feel nervous and awkward still

I feel strange when it's been over a year 
Yet, I don't know how to make this not awkward
Tell those piercing hazel eyes to look another way

But I'm only one phone call away if you need me
You were the sweetest person I knew at the time
So, if you are ever thinking about me then give me a call

Acting as we've never known how each other's lips felt
